Excellent store with excellent products , usually really fresh fruit/veggies and excellent priced produce as well ! The meats are Excellent this far as well so your prolly guessing why 3 stars, and I agree this would have been a 5 star review and still could be if it wasn’t for the prices not staying the same. Certain items in this store are way overpriced and must be why others are priced just reasonable and that’s understandable too and not what effected my score as if the prices didn’t fluctuate I’d have given them a 5 star review !! If they fix this, I’ll fix the he review and shop there as I did when they first open . Prices like hamburger and meats have gone up steadily since opening and I’d like to see them back to where they were when they opened as they were still very profitable considering where and how much of this stuff they are stocking and where it’s being stocked from . I assure you I have done a lot of word spreading of how great this place was when they 1st opened and it bit me in the ass as the people I was spreading the word to received different prices and have since strayed away from there . If Owner Cares and Reads these reviews , please do us and yourself a favor and don’t be like the other stores that charge as much as possible , stay on the side of the people and make things affordable but yes within reason and keep a profit margin in there , allowing you to stay in business forever . Eventually everyone will remember what you have done for the community , and your store will live long and do very well , with smiles on faces to the point of more profit for you , due to the quantity you’ll be able to move considering local news stations and public influencers will catch on and you will have so much clientele that wholesalers and distributors will chase you always !! Trust the community and it’ll pay you more profit with Good words and a 5 star review than Gouging with negative words and 3 star review ....

I love this store. Alot of people say they don't like the smell, well.... it's a meat market. Have you ever been in a meat market that didn't smell like meat? Sometimes the produce isn't exactly fresh, but it's marked down and still edible. It's wasteful and expensive to expect fresh picked off the tree pineapples which you can totally get at Walmart for $5 a pop, but not at a community grocery store. We need to support our community. I love this store... Anyways.... speaking of 🍍.

I picked up Pineapple for $0.75 the other day here at my favorite grocery store, the little michoacana of Shawnee!!!! Hear me out-

Buy taco al pastor in the meat department. About 3 lbs is around $12. It's worth it though! Slice up that good ol' cheap $0.75 Pineapple.

Start cooking your meat in a skillet...add a little bit of cumin, salt, smoked paprika, and about 1/4 C of Pineapple juice. Cook your meat till all liquid has reduced - THEN add your chopped Pineapple. Despues- No Antes .... After- Not Before.....Keep cooking till it's looking a bit dry and chard .....It...

Was excited about this store. Sadly, I was disappointed. Produce smelled odd and wasn't fresh. Opened the door to the bread and it had flies everywhere. The pre-seasoned meat I was particularly excited for. I bought some, went to cook dinner, and it had zero flavor and reeked of raw onion. No chicken flavor at all. The meat was red, so I expected a ton of flavor. No flavor, just pink/red meat. I am not going to bad mouth from a one off. I will give another chance, but quality of food...
