I would give no stars if that was an option. I am not sure if she just takes on too many projects or just doesn't put the customer first but I ordered a shirt via Facebook on the original post it just had the pricing. It did not say what the pickup date would be. I ordered it and an invoice was immediately sent and I immediately paid said invoice. A week or so had gone by and I didn't know how this place operated on pickups so I went back to the website to see if a pick up date was added it was not. I waited a few more days then asked on the post when they would be available. No answer. Waited another week, asked again... no answer, I wanted a few more days, checked the post and she had responded to my post and said may 3rd. I replied a thank you. May 3rd rolled around and I wasn't able to make it there. A few days later on May 7th I drove to the store to pick it up. Uptown parking is a disaster most of the time. Good luck trying to find something but I did... finally. I went in the nice girl at the register said it wasn't ready. I said oh okay. I was told the 3rd and here I felt terrible for not promptly picking it up. The girl was hollering from the back room that they would be ready on the 23rd. I said okay and I left. I went to my car thinking I was crazy and didn't see the date right ... so I sat in my car, found the post. The post was updated with a pick up day of May 10th, she replied to me and told me May 3rd and when in the store she said May 23rd. I decided to go back In. I brought this to the girls attention and I said well which is it. I'll come back I just don't want to come back and it not be ready. The girl in the back heard me and asked some questions about my order. She asked if we changed the color she could start working on it. She grabbed a stack of shirts. I touched the color I wanted. She said she would work on it. I informed the girl at the register I needed to leave and I'd be back tomorrow. I went back today to pick it up. It was ready!!! I got to the car opened it up and it was the absolute wrong color we discussed the day prior. I've just never been so shocked ... this place is unprofessional and unorganized. I didn't cus them out or stomp through the store. I remained calm and polite the whole time but the girls at the register informed me just how often they get cussed out and honestly... that's sad. I feel sorry for them. I love to shop local but I just can't get behind...
Read moreTo begin with, the quality of the items you receive is absolutely WONDERFUL. Every item I have purchased has been made exactly like the picture, and the items are made out of high quality materials. They are true to size, and hold up when washing and drying. However, I feel that the pickup process on pre-ordered items definitely needs some improvement. I ordered a pullover September 10. And it was posted that the pullover was to be ready on October 19. Let me say - I do understand that there are events that are out of human control, such as the tornado / power outages that occurred at the end of September. 5 weeks after I ordered the pullover I commented on Facebook asking if the pullover was ready. My comment was unanswered. A week later, 6 weeks after ordering, the business owner commented under the order post stating that the pullovers ordered with black leopard print monogramming would not be ready. On October 25, I received a message from the business owner stating that the leopard print monogramming did not look good on the grey sweatshirt. She gave me an option to choose the camo monogramming or to choose another monogramming type of my choice. I chose the camo. I had planned to pickup my items on November 16, as it was stated she would be open on the 16 and 23 of November for pickups. (She was closed through the week because she was at the Southern Christmas Show.) However the store did not open on November 16, due to sickness in her family. A friend of mine returned on November 23 to pick up my items, as well as her own, and she was not at the shop and we were unable to pickup our items. I then returned On Thanksgiving Day, during the Black Friday Event, and was told that she was not doing pickups that night. That I would need to rerun the following Saturday, November 30th to pickup. My husband went to get my pullover because I had to work, and it was ready. My point in all this is to state that it should NOT take 11 weeks to pickup an item. I would consider shopping in store, however not...
Read moreSutton Brooks and Minnie Jean Design Company declined to make a $17 mother's day GIFT/order right over a package being stolen. When I paid for my order, my invoice automatically updated my city to Gastonia, but I live in Dallas. The USPS office even told me themselves that this did not matter, it still would have been sent to the correct address. Both parties wanted me to still pay shipping after I explained to them time and time again that my address is the only one in the county and the USPS office showed proof that it was delivered to the correct address. The owner of Sutton Brooks Boutique, Leslie wanted me to still pay for a whole other shirt in the beginning because she kept saying I provided the wrong address. I have messages to back every single bit of this up. They have both shown that they do not care that my gift or the money will ever be reimbursed to me. Allysa from Minnie Jean Design Company is extremely rude and likes to talk in all capital letters when she talks to you, and she said I was attacking her. Anyone would be upset in this kind of situation. Will never dream of spending my hard earned money at this place ever again. And, Sutton Brooks never sent a monogrammed shirt I paid for and took 2 to 3 days to even update me as to where it was, after it had already been purchased 2 to 3 months prior. Only after I asked about it did they say they had it in the store because "Sara" marked it as in store pick up instead of shipping, and still charged me $8 to ship it to me on their mistake. Very unprofessional, very unorganized business. After reading the other reviews I am glad to see I'm not the only one who has dealt with miscommunication and disorganization from this business. I was also blocked from their Facebook page then unblocked just so the owner of Sutton Brooks, Leslie could ask me to please take my review...
