One star because I can't give zero. Purchased a truck bed cover and installation through GMC online. Had it shipped to this dealership because I would be in the area around the time of delivery. Called to check status of delivery, was told the part was received. Scheduled installation for a Thursday. Showed up at my appointment time - approximately 9:30am. Received a call at 3:30pm stating my bed cover hadn't been delivered yet but would be the next day. Completely dodged questioning regarding the mishap of telling me the part had been delivered. Called the following day and was told they were unaware of my bed cover order all together. Asked to speak with management with no avail. Eventually had to call main GMC just to get them to contact the dealership. Main GMC was finally able to tell me that my bed cover was to be delivered that day. Again, Gwatney had no input on this and was clueless what was going on no matter who I talked to - parts, service center, management - no one knew anything. Brought my truck up the same day. Received a call about 2 hrs later saying the wrong bed cover had been delivered. Which is mind boggling how this was not noticed at the time of delivery. And even more mind boggling considering I had to order the part online by inputting the vehicle I have - so I'm not sure how this mistake could have been made, and frankly I'm just suspicious the dealership was either being dishonest or simply did not have the competent staff available to identify whether it was the correct part or not. Fast forward about a week and I call to see if my bed cover had been received yet, and surprise surprise, no one at the dealership could answer this question for me. I got 2 "I'll find out and call you backs" and 1 "our system is down today." So I contacted main GMC again since it appears to take that or an act of God to get any useful information out of Gwatney. Main GMC was able to tell me that my part is in fact there. I requested it be shipped to a dealership close to my home now that we are 3 weeks out from when I was to be in the area of Gwatney. I was told that couldn't be done unless initiated from Gwatney's end. Well as you can imagine, I did not bother contacting Gwatney as they likely wouldn't even know what I'm referring to or what day of the week it is. For what its worth, I purchased by truck from Everett GMC in Bryant and would recommend traveling for your GMC needs. Under no circumstances would I trust Gwatney to work on my vehicle, and I sure as hell wouldn't purchase anything from them.
Update: Lance Brown did not reach out or attempt to rectify the situation despite...
Read moreService manager needs coaching and better customer service skills. If I could give this 0 stars I would, I have been coming to this dealership for about 2 years now since moving down here and in my experience it has been one of the worst since owning my Buick and visiting other Buick locations. I often keep up with my oil changes and service through this dealership and have had a very great experience with Darryl always and the prices have always been given. Yesterday I received an oil change and was called and asked to pay $128 which is an extremely substantial amount.
As a continued customer I keep a record of costs especially with being a single parent. The only difference in the service was the service cost to pick up the vehicle. When speaking with manager who's name shows up on my CID as Timmy Elton, I was railroaded and mishandled without even the slightest clue of understanding the issue and was advised "the valet isn't a requirement is a courtesy." First of all when I purchased my vehicle I was sold on the valet being included for ALL of BUICK owners and understood that it was a courtesy. But the issue was NOT the valet service charge you guys charge for that but not a shuttle which is basically the same. The issue was being charged a different amount for the oil change without any explanation except the oild change today is 85 and change whereas what is has always been was 76.95. And even when going through the website to book the service with my vehicles information and and milage still the same. I was told that I received a $15 discount last oil change in April but how when the website has the same cost? Only thing they were really missing was a skii mask and handheld for the armed robbery they are doing. He should try to first get a job as either a server in a restaurant or a job as a help desk technician and see if he is able to better communicate with the consumers, especially as a manager. DO BETTER! I will also be filing a complaint with the attorney general and with the BBB.
His only concerns were wanting to argue with me about having the best prices around and how he has great service ratings. Im sure you do if this is all someone is used to compared to someone who has lived in different states and also been. to Buick dealerships and have experienced great service and I can tell you THAT IS NOT IT. I've worked in the fields that I am advising you to go into and I can tell you, I would hate for him to experience the same type of service that he...
Read moreYou all sent me a coupon to change my oil, rotate tires, etc. my appointment was at 3:30 on Friday afternoon. When I went in, they said, âWell, the coupon is for 6 quarts of oil. You need 9. Thatâs what I figured. I have a BSBA is marketing/sales. I just always worked for corporations that didnât use âbait and switchâ, like you all do. I told them, at the beginning and at the end when I paid. Iâm an old lady. Iâm computer illiterate. Put all of my dashboard information back like I have it. âOh yes Maâam. We will and we did.â I drove home. I raise cattle. When I started out, Saturday morning, my truck read, âService Tire Monitor Systemâ. Your service department is closed on Saturday and Sunday. I called my salesman, Charley Gerran. I have bought I donât know how many big pickups from him. He said bring it in on Monday. All weekend, I was frightened because I was afraid that I would have a blowout, etc. I am an old lady that is alone. I checked my tires, several times over the weekend. I looked so lovely, on my knees, checking my tires in the parking lot at Immanuel Baptist Church, while in my Sunday dress. Monday, I had a doctors appointment. To go to the bank, etc., working my way towards Gwatney. When I arrived, they questioned what âService Tire Monitor Systemâ meant. After about an hour and a half, the red haired guy came back and said, âWell, we figured it out. You actually had a sensor out, on Friday, when they were rotating your tires. Someone forgot to tell you and fix it.â I said. â Fix Itâ. He said, we will just charge you for the sensor. I said, âThank You. Just make sure you put everything back like it was. âOKâ. When it was done, I paid $118.10. And, got in my truck and started it. The info displayed had nothing to do with what it should have. I stopped my truck and waved the young man out. He tried to show me some things. Finally, he put it back like it had been. I had 2 of your cookies and drank a bottle of water. I had not had any dinner. I got home, 3:30 to 4:00. I still had animals to feed. And, now you know how I feel about the service department at Gwatney. And, since I live on a farm In Arkansas, I have no broadband service. So,...
