Loden SV is a luxury apartment complex situated in Shoreview, close to businesses, and stores. My experience at Loden SV was pleasant but nothing exceptional. The things I liked were the facilities, nice gym, outdoor pool, dog wash area, and an elegant common room area. The things that I did not like about the building was that the staff seemed to only care about themselves and not really the residents. I had a few issues which I felt like when I would go to the staff about the answers were rude and not reassuring. I had issues of my packages being torn open, taped back together, and missing items. You pay a $500 cleaning fee when moving in but then I am still charged for tiny stains that the building says they were able to get out of the carpet. Which I should not be charged extra for unless it was not removable. What was the point of paying a $500 cleaning fee in the first place. It puts your mind at ease but then after moving out you find out they will charge you for something that can be fixed. When I first moved in on move in day, they messed up the scheduling to reserve my loading zone time which left a bad taste in my mouth as soon as I moved in. I had signed my lease 6 months before move in and after a month of waiting I wanted to cancel, but they wouldn’t let me unless I paid ridiculous fees. Which the building was not even open yet and my unit not even built yet, so there should have been an easier way since it was still many months ahead. I’ve lived at other Luxury apartments before and for what you pay at Loden I would say is 50% worth it. The amenities are the winner. But, having to deal with staff, and all the policies it is not that great. Also, having to worry about your mail is really stressful. All in all, I didn’t want to move here, but was stuck into the lease. I made the most of my experience while there, but there were definitely issues...
Read moreI didn't want to do this but I have been trying to get through to management for weeks to resolve this issue and been completely ignored.
I liked living at Loden (coffee bar and pool and gym are all nice) but management is horrible. We were good tenants, paid on time and left the unit in great condition. I have gotten my full deposit back at every other place I've ever lived.
However, they came back saying we'd have to pay up to $1000 for a tiny scratch on the floor. This is after receiving a $400 "cleaning fee" and a $300 "pet fee". (What would a pet fee cover if not a tiny scratch?)
I asked to see an invoice/receipt and suddenly damages dropped to $250 but they couldn't provide me with a receipt and my emails went ignored. They also took out an extra $100 of our deposit just cuz and no one could explain it to me.
They lie to tenants. They say the fees are for hiring professionals but a staff member confided in me that they just pay THEIR staff their normal hourly wage to clean apartments so they can make a profit off of tenants move in fees. I have seen so many different employees cycle in and out in the YEAR that I lived there, because they keep everyone stressed and overworked. It's so unethical.
Before this I would have sincerely considered moving back at some point but after this, I definitely will not. I hope you enjoy your $400 from our deposit cuz it'll be the last money you ever get from me.
Learn how to treat ppl and it'll do way more for your business than scamming your tenants and...
Read moreDecent amenities but I was extremely disappointed over the winter when I did not have hot water on a regular basis. Cold showers are no fun, especially in the winter. Management would notify the building that the problem was solved, only to experience cold showers again a few days later. It was very frustrating that the issue was never resolved and I continued to be billed for hot water services, which I wasn't receiving. I reached out to management several times without resolution. Warning to not live on the west side of the building. The maintenance worker told me I wasn't getting hot water because the west side of the building is on the opposite end of the water heater and it takes too long for the water to warm up on the west side. Management was okay at addressing other concerns until I gave my 2 month notice and then when I asked for help with a parking concern, they stated they were unable to help me since I was moving out in 2 months. The gym was the selling point for me, although it does get very crowded at peak times and it is not kept clean. Another annoyance was the doors are extremely loud when they close so you always hear your neighbor's...
