I live in NC but I visit this nail salon each time I am in the Short Pump area because of the great customer service and the quality of my sets. However, on 5/30 I made an appointment for a builder gel fill in and a pedicure. Keep in mind im coming from NC so I called first to make sure they could accommodate me. The receptionist asks if I could be there by 2:15pm at which time I told her my GPS had my ETA at 2:24pm. We then agree to 2:30pm. I make it the salon at 2:24pm and I go in around 2:27pm to check in for my appointment. As I check in the young lady says “I’m sorry, someone should’ve told you on the phone that we can only do one service because we have a large wedding party coming in at 4pm.” I cant explain how upset I was that I had driven all this way to be told I could only get one service. They had my phone number, why not call me back to explain that? I definitely would not have driven over 2 hours for my nails only. At this point I tell her I would choose my fill in because I needed them done badly. That was the first issue. I sit with the nail tech…shes working on my nails and as 20 mins go by I notice that Im never asked if I would like a specialty drink, snack or even a bottle of water. An hour goes by and USUALLY by this time Ive been asked no less than 3 times if I wanted a drink or snack, on this day I was never asked. Salon full of nail techs sitting around with no clients(with the exception of maybe 2)…just either holding side conversations, playing on the phone or prepping for the wedding party. Now on to the nails…An hour and a half passes and shes still doing my nails. She tried painting them with the color I requested but it looked terrible so she asked me to pick another color. I choose a color (that was pretty on the bottle) but didn’t translate well once painted on my nails. I didn’t ask for another color because she already struggled with 2 colors and to be honest I was just ready to go. I do want to point out that my nail tech was extremely sweet but my nails turned out really bad. The wedding party finally comes in, after 4pm, and they set them up..greet them and asks them all if they would like a beverage, snack etc. As I’m sitting STILL getting my nails done they are bringing out coffee drinks, wine, THE WORKS to the wedding party. After shes done, I pay 90.00 for a fill and 2 nail repairs…I even left a tip. Once I left I went immediately to another nail salon and paid 40 plus tip for them to reshape my nails and a color change. I feel that they only cared about the wedding party and thats fine but don’t waste my time If you’re not going to provide the same level of customer service to me and your other guests.

Read moreI needed to get a Gel X removal and new set as I had a set that had grown out. I wanted a new set in preparation for a funeral, and I had shared a special request with Jodie, the owner, in light of this event that had to do with my nails. She respected this wish, made sure I was comfortable as possible, and this really touched my heart. From the moment Bella greeted me over the phone to book an appointment, they were so kind and accommodating, and I looked forward to my nail appointment.
When I arrived, I was greeted kindly and very impressed with the space! Super well furnished and designed, and such a bright and welcoming space. As I was waiting only a short time to get checked in, Jodie greeted me as well, and I checked in for my appointment. She was incredibly sweet and bubbly, and she helped me decide if I wanted Build-A-Gel or Gel X still. Jodie and Bella offered me complementary drinks and snacks, and I got a yummy latte and some fabulous chocolates! They have a great selection of drinks and snacks.
Like I said, Jodie was super accommodating and sympathetic to my wishes thought my appointment! She made sure I felt comfortable to communicate my wishes, my comfort levels, and that I was getting exactly what I was looking for. She helped me pick out a nail color and chrome powder as close as possible to what I wanted, and she made sure I had the nail shape I wanted. Honestly one of the best Gel X jobs I’ve had done. She also recommended me a great multi-purpose oil to help with dryness on my hands that I’m currently dealing with. Truly my appointment brightened my day, all thanks to the fabulous staff here! I certainly want to return the next time I’m...
Read moreIf you enjoy being ripped off, humiliated, and treated like a petty criminal, then by all means, go to Annabelle’s Nail Café. We came in for what was supposed to be a $70 visit and walked out with a $120 bill each, feeling like we’d just been robbed in broad daylight. And if you think you can use their so-called “online coupons” to save yourself from this extortion, think again. Apparently, they live in the dark ages—because unless you have a paper coupon from Valpak (that ancient thing in your mailbox that nobody ever sees), the online coupon is nothing but a scam to lure you in. But wait, it gets better. Not only did they gouge us for an extra $50 each but when we politely questioned the bait-and-switch tactics, they treated us like criminals. I’m talking following us out of the store, as if we were about to make a break for it. They even forced my sister to stay behind as some kind of collateral—like she was a hostage in their ridiculous, fraudulent scheme. We had to wait over an hour for some so-called “manager” to grace us with their presence and confirm what we already knew(which she never showed) they couldn’t care less about customer service or integrity. They just want to bleed you dry. Annabelle’s Nail Café is the worst kind of business—a greedy, scammy operation that has zero respect for its customers. If you’re looking to overpay and be treated like garbage, sure, give them your money. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. Trust me, getting scammed has never...
