If you're looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch experience, then Rise is the place for you. Their Nashville hot chicken with buttermilk biscuit is truly one of a kind. The chicken is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and has just the right amount of heat. The buttermilk biscuit is flaky and buttery, and it pairs perfectly with the spicy chicken. It's hands-down the best Nashville hot chicken I've ever had.
But Rise Richmond isn't just for meat-eaters. They also offer a variety of vegetarian options, including their veggie chicken, which is honestly some of the best veggie chicken I've ever had. They also offer tater tots, sausage biscuits, doughnuts, and their blueberry biscuits are to die for.
The atmosphere at Rise Richmond is cozy and inviting. The restaurant is small, but it has a great vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable.
One thing that sets Rise Richmond apart is that they use locally-sourced ingredients, which makes for a truly unique and delicious dining experience. Whether you're a meat-eater or a vegetarian, Rise Richmond has something for everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. Their biscuits are so good, it's worth the trip to...
Read moreNot pleased with Rise Donuts. Not at all. I arrived this morning to purchase a small box of fritters for a staff meeting. Five or six other people came in behind me and formed a line. When I approached the counter, the fritters were sitting in the glass cabinet right in front of me. The Rise Man took my order and my money. I expected him to throw the fritters into a box and give it to me. He did not. He motioned to me to stand aside - AND HE SERVED THE ENTIRE LINE BEHIND ME. Only after he had taken EVERY OTHER ORDER IN THE BAKERY DID HE LEAN OVER AND PUT THE FRITTERS INTO A BOX. I should have been out of there in a couple of minutes at most. It took roughly a quarter of an hour. This is DEMENTED BEHAVIOR. There is a social contract when you buy something sitting there on a shelf. You pay for it AND THEY GIVE IT TO YOU. Nothing had to be cooked, sliced, fetched from another room or prepared. I will not be placing myself in the control of Rise Donuts again. I enjoy their fritters, but they are not nearly good enough to subject myself to such inexplicable disrespect and antagonization. Especially not in the bloody morning when I'm trying to get to an office meeting. Thumbs-down, Rise Donuts. What were you...
Read moreI was excited to see Rise in Richmond pop up when I searched for nearby food because I’d greatly enjoyed it in Raleigh a few years back. I ordered twice this week—today and two days ago. One I scheduled for pickup at 1:15 pm and the other I picked up “asap” (ready in 15 min). While everything feels expensive these days, their prices are excellent all things considered. My total was under $40 both times. The food was excellent both times. My mom ordered the sweet country blues add a runny egg and then guacamole smash add pimento cheese with fried okra. I ordered the chix and grits add scrambled eggs x2 (no onion no boom boom) both times. We also got drinks and extra strawberry and blueberry glazes biscuits. We loved everything we got which is why I went returned and will return again in a few days (I’m on a chicken and grits kick now). The only thing I will mention is my dish was missing the cheddar cheese today, but it’s no big deal and I ordered very close to closing so they may have run out. Nonetheless my food was 10/10 chefs kiss. The people working are very friendly. I photographed my food only because I wasn’t thinking...
