Cookie Chris — Local services in Short Pump

EDITED REVIEW: I went to the location twice, once about 40 minutes before closing and another about 20 minutes before closing. For context, my aunt and I were both driving there, separately. On both occasions, the store was closed despite their posted hours. When I contacted them via Instagram, they claimed they closed early due to inventory. I explained that they also serve beverages and ice cream (neither have been sold out per my experience) so I did not understand closing early without a sign on the door or at least posting it in their voicemail or Instagram. To be closed back to back to me seemed like a staffing issue. After I connected with Cookie Chris, they only offered ONE FREE COOKIE WITH A PURCHASE OF A 4 PACK (originally the offer was only for my aunt as she reached out initially and I had to reach out afterwards for a solution) despite driving 132 miles to their location. A $5 cookie compared to 1.5 hours driving is not acceptable. After my complaint, I got my free cookie and never have gone back. Also, after my messages with them, they posted two “hiring” posts, confirming my original suspicion. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Time and money are both valuable, and Cookie Chris did not value either when I tried to support them, two days in a row. My gas is not replaceable nor the time spend traveling. This isn't your average cookie and ice-cream shop. It's a foodies dream.

Who loves experiencing new foods? I know I do, and that's why I decided to stop in and taste the mouth-watering flavors myself.

The look and feel of the shop is futuristic just like the new added flavors.

I decided to order the Cinnamon Pop-Tart Cookie. 😋 Wow, what a combination. You've got to try it for yourself. Note: I'd only suggest this for people who have a sweet-tooth.

My side order was Butter Pecan Ice-cream. The warm cookie 🍪 combined with the cold Ice-cream, 🍦makes the experience worth while.

I will say, the pricing may seem high for some. This isn't a place you take the whole family. (if you're paying the bill) This is why I went to enjoy my experience alone. Lol

I also felt honored to support the young founder for having the courage to invest his time, grandma's secret recipes, and he and his parents money to create delicious snacks for foodies like me to enjoy.

As I write this review , I do not want to tarnish the business in any type of way but just for my thoughts on improvement. I drove really far to try cookie Chris because of the reviews that I have seen on social media. I love trying new places and sweets to be fair. The customer service from the young lady was super nice and very informative of the cookies. I was hoping the website would show the cookies that are in for the week before arriving to something that’s unexpected/ a flavor that I may not like especially to the drive. I tried two of the cookies snd they were extremely hard - i attempted to heat up but It was still hard to eat. I was a bit disappointed by the texture and quality of the cookie.
