Pet Food Warehouse — Local services in Show Low

This off-the-highway warehouse truly has it all in the world of western wear, pet food, hay and feeds, and colorful Western quilts, blankets, and throws.

I stopped in on my way from Tucson, AZ to Raton, New Mexico in order to stock up on Dave's Bland Diet dog food. I discovered online that this store carried what I needed for my 12 year-old Rottweiler who has stomach issues. Not only did they have what I was initially looking for, they had 2 or 3 other varieties of Dave's Dog Food that were even more specific, like the Low Sodium Restricted Diet, which I bought 10 cans of to give it a test.

In addition to a large pet food and horse food warehouse section, The Pet Food Warehouse includes "Awesome Hay Sales" as a part of the "Shanty Town Stores". The very friendly gent at the front desk and I chatted a bit about the store and how folks use the front door as the message bulletin board. Rather than bury the message board and make it hidden, as is often the case in many stores, the owners realize how much it helps local folks and have turned their extra-large front door's inside surface into the local info channel. All notices are kept on the board with Scotch tape-only, and the messages are right in front of you as you leave. Perfect non-technological sharing.

The building itself is deceptively large. This warehouse has several sections, each with its own theme and selection....lots of Western wear coats, shirts, and vests plus hats, belts, and a huge selection of, you got it, cowboy boots. I LOVE THIS PLACE. We get our chicken feed and alfalfa hay for the horse here and some things for the rest of us waiting at home. Everyone there is helpful and friendly. They also have added a wide varity of fresh foods for we of the human kind. This store has it all as it carries a wide collection of clothes, boots, saddles and hats. They have such a wide variety of products to choose from, fresh from their garden, fruits and veggies and freah cut beef, chicken and pork and last but so very importent all the staff cares about your needs and caters to your wants. Allways a pleasure to go check out with the friendly cashier and then head out to the neatly stacked bails of alfalfa to the ever so polite gentelman waiting to load your truck up with what you ordered. And the young men and women all work together as a team to insure that all the customers are satisfied and happy with what they had gathered to take home to their family. Thank you all so kindly for opening up your store your hearts and for carrying nothing but quility products for us to chose from.

When it comes to feed this is the only place I will go! Kathy was amazing and so helpful. I originally called to ask about something I was skeptical they would carry turns out I was right but Kathy was awesome and recommended another place, once I contacted said place and found what I was looking for I called back and thanked her and asked her about some feed for a rescue horse that was under weight she had what I was looking for so I stopped by.
