Quality Inn Show Low — Hotel in Show Low

DO NOT STAY HERE. No Quality in this Quality Inn. No breakfast as advertised. Okay fine. Then charged us $10 per room more. Okay fine. Rooms looked like the photos, but no water when we arrived. Had to ask them to turn the water on. Hence no ice in the ice maker. When you walked on the laminate flooring in our room, the other end of the floor plank lifted. Okay fine. On the second floor between rooms is an outside walk area. Covered with lose planks. Could fall through and massive tripping hazard - see photos. There was a pleasant young man who checked us in when we arrived. Outside looked like a dump when we arrived, but had prepaid on Booking.com. THE KICKER WAS NO HOT WATER IN THE MORNING FOR SHOWERS. I called down to say we didn't have hot water and woman that answered said she just had a hot shower and let it run. So we let it run for 10 minutes and still no hot water...in both rooms (one room was next to office). So I went down to the office. It was locked up even tho' someone should be there all the time. I called and she said she'd be right there. I enter saying I just called and I'm coming to complain (but not angry) and that is when the woman behind the desk said I'm just an Employee. I acknowledged this and said, I understand and it's not your fault but I need to tell you about our terrible experience and find out who we can talk to. So as it turns out, the employee was the Manager who didn't identity herself at all. Wouldn't deal with any complaints. When I asked her who I should contact to discuss this all with, and for money back (I said at the very least the $20 extra we paid) she told me I was yelling and making her feel bad and had to leave or she'd call the police. I never yelled at all, but I was shocked by her statement so apologized for making her feel bad. Again, I'm thinking she was just the employee. Only I didn't find out she was the manager/owner until she let it slip when she was telling me to leave. I then started recording this because I can't believe what is happening and how this has escalated from a legitimate complaint and wanting to know who I should talk to, to being kicked out. I soon realized that this is how she treats complaints, by kicking people out of the reception area and calling police. Police did come too! I couldn't believe it!! And they agreed that the place was at least a bit better looking than it had been. What a waste of their time. Police were kind and super understanding. ANYWAY = DO NOT STAY HERE. My family and I traveled from Texas to Arizona to stay at the Show Low Location. Upon entry to our room, I discovered that it was completely filthy. I had to mop the tile floor. I had to wipe the air conditioning unit. I had to sweep the floor. The blankets were dirty and had human hair that was black on them. I am blonde. I had my father request to speak with management, and he was just told, “we will have a talk with the cleaning staff”. We were not offered any compensation for the poor state of this room. We had already cleaned the room, so when we were offered another room, we declined because we did not want another dirty room.I would like to know what your corporate office will do about this. This is completely unacceptable, especially during the COVID Pandemic. We came back from an all day trip to ask for blankets. The staff was unprofessional and very rude to my father and myself in front of my children. We were told that we were being demanding and unruly by asking for some extra blankets because 24 hours prior we asked for two blankets. We were told very rudely by the cleaning staff that we can be charged pet damage because my 15 year old senior dog accidentally urinated on their blankets. I was told by management that I am more than welcome to check out tomorrow morning, March 8, 2021. After about an hour, I check my choice hotels app to find that my check out date had been changed to tomorrow. I went up to the front desk to inquire as to whether or not I was being made to leave. The manager never even let me finish my sentence before she interrupted me and said “It’s just not working out for you or us. You can leave in the morning. Leave your keys on the counter in the room and we will refund you the rest of your money”. I have never been more disrespected in my entire life staying at a hotel before and I will never come back to this...

11 of us elderly (all in our 70s) motorcyclists made reservations for 7 rooms a month in advance of arriving on 10/20/2022. Upon arriving at 6:30pm we found the office completely locked down with a number posted to call. We called that number and were told it would be a few minutes. About 10 minutes later a woman appeared from the back to let us in. She immediately stated that there would be no breakfast served as they were short of help and that we would all be charge $10 for using an outside reservation source such as hotels dot com! When we questioned that, she stated "they dont work for us and we don't work for them"! Because we are elderly and it was cold out, we asked to use a restroom. She pointed to the restroom and we found the public restroom without soap, towels, or even toilet paper! I went to my room and found the TV barely functionable, 1/4 roll of toilet paper and no backup rolls. I saw a coffee maker but there was no coffee. But it didn't matter because there were no cups or glasses to drink out of and not even a way to take my medications! I went next door to get some snacks and ice (the ice machine didn't work either. I noticed several of my riding partners sitting outside and found that they were waiting on their rooms (now 8pm) because they weren't ready yet and somebody had to be called in to get them ready!!! Crossing the parking lot I noticed the trash cans knocked over and trash everywhere. Coming back from the market with my snacks, I went to put them in the refridgerator and found two containers of leftover salso from the previous guest!!! At check out in the morning, the office was still locked with no one to check us out! We left our keys in the door and rode off. We will never return and you...
