Arizona Mountain Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Show Low

I do not understand the infatuation with this place. The atmosphere would be great if the place didn't smell like a bathroom in the hot sun.

It was so bad we had to go outside to eat our reheated food.

Yeah, they don't have a kitchen. It's all pre-made reheat food. The burrito tasted like a microwaved gas station burrito hard outer shell and everything. I actually would have preferred that as the total here cost me $30 for two large coffees, that burrito, and a ham and bacon "McMuffin" (and I use McMuffin loosely as we should have gone to McDonald's - literally what my wife said)

The coffee was meh at best and the only saving grace was the wonderful barista behind the counter doing her best to salvage such a very disappointing experience. I'm not sure if we just showed up on the worst day but I for sure have 0 desire to ever step foot in that place ever again if I happen to be in Show Low ever again.

Great mocha, but the thing that really stuck out to me was the kind work culture among employees. The owner was discussing a new employee with another employee who had just clocked in. Not talking poorly about her, but saying "I can tell she's going to do great here, she has prior experience, but when she came in today, I could tell she wasn't herself, she was under the weather, so I gave her a couple days off to recover." It's sad that basic human decency in how you treat your workers is a rarity instead of the standard these days, but it's truly heartening to see that it does still exist. Work culture like that is top down, it comes from the boss, and it exists here. I will support this shop whenever I'm in town because the world needs more empathy, and it's...

Pleasantly surprised! My latte was SO good. I got coconut and vanilla favoring, they got it out quickly although they were busy and it was delicious! I was a bit nervous as first because it felt very stock inside but with such delicious coffee and how popular it was I’m sure a redesign for the interior is close at hand. I wish they had more of a selection in their display case as I would have definitely gotten a Danish or something. The clear cellophane over what selections they did have also wasn’t very appetizing. They were busy so maybe just low on options that day but would recommend for future customers. Will...
