I've lived in a few houses in Worcester but moving to Quinn35 is totally worth it! Though the price is higher than living in a house, if you can afford it, I highly recommend it because we've had such a wonderful experience here. First and foremost, as many reviews here have mentioned, the maintenance manager Mo is absolutely fantastic. He is so quick to respond, caring, responsible, and kind. He's by far the best maintenance person I've ever met in my life. Once I had an issue so I happened to run into him in the hallway, but I had to leave in about 30 minutes and wasn't expecting it to be addressed till I get home later in the day. However, he said that if I had time now, he could just walk upstairs with me now to check it out. I really appreciated that because I know he's always so busy and I often see him running from apartment to apartment.
Second, Kristin at the front desk always treats us with so much kindness and respect. She's super helpful, accommodating, responsive, and always available to help. She always greets us with a smile and gives us detailed answers to any question we have. It's so nice to be able to walk downstairs or send an email for any issues and it gets addressed immediately. For example, when the printer was out of ink and paper, I sent a quick email and it was fixed immediately. Another time I had a question about key transfers, and she addressed it for me on the spot. I can't believe I went from trying to get ahold of landlords and negotiating with them to being able to walk downstairs and get amazing service.
I know that Quinn35 is strict about nonsmoking policies, picking up after your dogs, and disposing of your trash. I really appreciate that because a few people can spoil the experience if they consistently leave their trash or dog poop around, which has definitely happened. I am grateful that the management is strict about preventing this because a place as nice as Quinn35 should not be filled with waste just because others don't know how to take care of it properly. I know some people can be sour about that but if you know how to be a normal, responsible adult, then there's nothing to not like...
Read moreQuinn35 is a beautiful place to live, with nice and supportive people around. However, there are some concerns I want to share, which needs to be addressed immediately by management.
The lady at the reception, I think her name is Kristin, is not at all understanding. Since the mask policy has come to place, she has bothered so many people, making their experience of living here the worst. The whole day she just looks at the camera and whenever sees someone's mask a bit down the nose, she comes up and ask to wear it. I understand her position. But we all residents are like a family and know how to make the area more habitable. We are aware of the health consequences. If someone is not wearing a mask at all, then it's understandable for her to come up and ask to wear it. But if someone is already wearing the mask while working out in the gym or doing office/college work in the clubhouse for long, and then just put one's mask a bit down the nose only for some seconds to catch a breath properly, it's not sincere to come up and bother them for wearing mask. She does that again and again, even though the person is alone in the whole area. I know many people here and they have the same thoughts. She behaves as if she doesn't want anyone to use the clubhouse, so that it remains empty and clean for potential tenants to see. And it's actually working, the clubhouse and the main area looks dead.
No functions, parties and arrangements for any festivities or occasions by Quinn35 team. It's understandable now due to rising cases of covid, but they weren't doing it anyway during better conditions. Saving cost.
The cleaning team just cleans the clubhouse and public bathrooms, and not the corridor between apartments. So it looks dirty.
Recently, they ran out of the printer's ink, so instead of filling it up fast, they pasted a note asking residents to not use the printer much. Lol. Again, saving cost.
Finally, kudos to Moe and his maintenance partner for helping people every time in need. They are the only ones who keep the place going,...
Read moreI think that there are many college kids in this complex - it is very trendy and very beautiful to look at, but there are drawbacks. Very thin walls, sound travels very strangely in this apartment complex. I can hear the elevator ding sound in my living room - the elevator is out the door, around the corner and down a hall. Someone walking down the hallway can be heard as if they are in my apartment. If you have a neighbor who likes to vacuum at 7AM on a Saturday, it will be loud enough to wake you up.
I have neighbors who think it's just fine to have a drinking party in the parking lot at 2AM. If you call the local police, they will send a patrol car, but its never when the people are still in the lot.
The trash compactor that the entire complex shares is managed as well as it can be, and they try very hard to keep it clean and regulated, but it's hard to manage with so many people and so many people who leave things there and have no consideration for others. I saw a stuffed mattress in the recycling compactor yesterday...
The pool, however pretty, is located near a busy road and a parking lot. It is a good pool, but it feels very urban and not very relaxing.
Parking is not sufficient for the people in my building. I have seen double parking, inventing new parking spots where there are none, you name it. We have parking stickers, but I have never seen anyone ever getting towed. My car was broken into last year, so it's not the safest spot for your car.
Rent will go up every lease renewal.
On the plus side, its beautiful on the insides of the apartments, and you couldn't find a more attractive set of finishing choices. The apartment maintenance staff are very helpful and quick, and the heating/cooling bills are awesome! This place is very well insulated (if not from the noise, at least the cold and heat). The gym is great, the equipment is top notch and...
