Wish I had my pictures but I am writing from a laptop & I’m not Tech savvy to post from my phone to the computer. It’s easier to write from the laptop since I’m doing an extended review. First & foremost, thank you to all the Workers at Bollywood, Leading managers & Owners. I have enjoyed food from you guys for many long years, & EVERY TIME I GO, I only wish there was more for me to eat or take home. It’s not that the portions are that small, but they used to be bigger & since I love their food, that is a big problem. & That’s my only complaint! 😅💋😘
Love the music, when it’s on! Every Restaurant should play music to the tune of their tradition & languages. How else do we get to experience more of a different culture, if we are not able to travel there? Having friends from different parts of the world is not always enough, specially if you only see them at Work, Church or Events. So, I am grateful for that! 💕🌎💞 Also grateful for the delicious food & freshness I always experience there. It is wonderful & I really appreciate the care you put into it. Every time I go it’s a neat experience as I crave Indian Food & you guys always come through for me. I wonder, do you have more lentil products, like soups, & such? I forget to ask when I am there, Because I go for the Chicken Curry & then anything else you all recommend. I read a few reviews prior to writing mine, as I was looked to see if they did DoorDash? & noticed complaints about unfriendliness, and tasteless food, which brought the writers to give 1 star.... I hope everyone looks to several of these before deciding, & takes everything, as Mom taught me, with a grain of salt. What does this mean? See what is written, look at others, think of the people being spoken of & evaluate for yourself, based on your own experiences & on what you know to be true of the individuals. If one thing I know is that some Cultures are more reserved than others, specially in a Business situation, not always because of unfriendliness, but out of respect for others. I have worked various jobs & in all areas, one must be careful, but in the Restaurant business it’s a very tricky thing; as some Clients are offended if there’s a friendly server, while others crave it. Some value friendliness, while others just want great over all service. The people that serve never know what they will encounter, so caution is always best, than over friendliness, though I enjoy the smiles & such, as I said before, some people are more reserved & therefore may not smile as much. Pay them a compliment, & see if they smile then.
People just need a bit of encouragement, to know it is okay. That’s how I gage a situation when I deal with people I do not know. I wait for a sign. So if you read a 1 star for these reasons, give them a chance. Food to me is always tasty. How else would I be craving more for a week after I visit? Tables are clean, bathrooms I rarely visit, but when I have, they were also clean, as well as the floors, counters in the bar area, etc. I LOVE it there, & I sure hope you will too.
Note to Staff : It is okay to smile as you welcome people in & to make gestures to accomodate some folks that need that bit of banter without crossing lines. Blessings to you all who read, & serve &...
Read moreWorst experience here. Terrible Customer service and horrifying food. Disgrace to Indian food, Indian hospitality. In general I avoid Indian restaurants because I have seen they royally screw Indian food in an attempt to please the international crowd; I was tired after a long week in CA and wanted to have some plain dal chawal. Their dal costs $14 which is atrocious. And it comes in a tiny bowl, not even enough for one person. I asked for a drink called Kamasutra from their menu and he gave me the most shameful look. I ordered Bollywood naan and chicken 65 because that was the only dry option. The chicken 65 arrived but no naan or the drink. Then I had to call and remind them about the drink and naan. The naan arrived raw/30% uncooked. The chicken 65 recipe was screwed in the worst way. The family at the table next to me were equally dissatisfied with their veg meals and swore never to come back. Anybody with an Indian tastebud should not attempt this place. Anyone who wants to try Indian food for the first time please don't attempt this place because you will be scarred for life. And to top it all, I was made to change tables after I was seated at one by one of their waiters for no...
Read moreI have grown up on Indian food all of my life, and I love everything about it, in the hundreds of different Indian restaurants I have eaten in/from this is single-handedly the worst I have ever been to. The portions were so small you'd be lucky to fill a 10 year old child, prices were so steep given the portion sizes, the food served did not represent what was ordered and tasted (honestly) foul. I ordered 1 main dish, 3 sides and a Naan bread and every last one of them had a distinct chemical taste. One of the side dishes ordered was Chicken Pakora, which for the most part was chicken, however, several pieces were Shrimp, whilst this wasn't what we wanted or ordered it wasn't a massive issue - but it could be should you be allergic to shell fish (fair warning!). All in all, I will never eat there again, ever. I highly recommend if you're reading this to eat elsewhere. If I could give less than one star I would.
Dishes tasted days old No particular flavor to the food other than an overriding chemical taste Naan may as well have been a flattened Sara Lee loaf Shocked Zagat rated it as...
