Great neighborhood walking,jogging area.Tennis courts available through the city.Picnic area for get togethers.Dont advise swimming as the water is not clean enough for me.Fishing is also good with a license,unless children of age limit for free.Would catch and release,as the water isn't clean enough for me to eat the fish.Football field and soccer field also in the park,and used by local organized games at times.Skating rink across the street,with certain public skating times.AA baseball field also across the street,a good place to go in the evenings to catch a game for free.Snack trucks in the summer at the ball field.Basketball court and softball field also on Hamilton street part of the park.There are places close by for food and ice cream.Good spot to just get away for a picnic.They have bbq areas,or as i like to do,just get some chicken and condo mints at the stop and shop on Grafton street.Whole chickens or pieces available...
Read moreUpon reading the reviews, I've discovered that I had failed to pay the parking fee while visiting the Quinsigamond State Park... It was the middle of night and there wasn't anybody to take my parking money. Anyways, there was a very good view of the bridge across Lake Quinsigamond to the south of the park. The bridge was lit beautifully at night. There were also some houses on the other side of the lake that made for some pretty night shots across the lake. There was a sandy area, but I didn't really get a chance to go on the sand since the park was so dark at night. There seems to be plenty of street parking available nearby, so if you're just trying to get some exercise at the park, consider parking for free in the nearby...
Read moreIt's okay, if you just want to walk the dog, but very short and pretty boring for a hike or exercise. It's just a small loop trail that you have to go around like 4 times to even get a mile. It's also not very scenic or peaceful, as it's right next to a main street so you just hear traffic. Also, a bunch of teenagers blasting loud rap music the whole time. I'm used to scenic hikes in the Appalachian mountains and in NH, Maine and Vermont so this trail was nothing in comparison, not even ghetto-fabulous..... just...
