I eat at Atlantic Poke at least two to three times per week and have since the opening of the restaurant. This concept is something unlike anything in this area and is a more upscale version of the "chain" poke restaurants you see in Boston and New York. The time and energy spent on designing this space really comes through the minute you see the gorgeous sign above the front door. When you walk in everything is modern, clean and inviting. The blue color is pot on for the food and the gigantic tuna wall art is pretty amazing. Everything has been well thought out...even the comfortable and aesthetically pleasing chairs and tables that match perfectly. All this before you even get to the "Chipotle" style set-up of food where you can order pre-set bowl or choose whatever you want. I personally go through the line and select everything that I want. The selections are pretty awesome as you even get seaweed salad and crab salad for FREE. Once I get to the end and choose two sauces they can barely close the lid as the portions are great. The team members there are always in a good mood and love to have conversations. The owner will always ask how you are and follow up to ensure you love the meal. It is truly an unbelievable restaurant. You can even eat outside on their patio and experience all the action that Lakeway Commons offers. I hope that we will see many more of these as it is a healthy option done in an upscale, clean and modern environment. You can tell the owner and management really care about your experience and ensuring the facility and your enjoyment of the food is top notch. I will continue to eat here multiple times a week. I highly recommend this place for lunch and/or dinner! Also try the salted caramel cookies they are absolutely amazing. Thank you for bringing this concept to Shrewsbury it was...
Read moreUpdated review (I was a little harsh on the sauce thing).
This restaurant offers you a deconstructed sushi roll in a bowl. The portions are generous and you get great value for sushi grade fish.
I eat a lot of sushi and I can tell you the quality of salmon they buy is top of the line. You can tell by how lean the meat is (not a lot of white lines/thin white lines).
All of the other ingredient options are also delicious and excellent quality.
My only minor gripe has to do with the sauces.... especially since I Love sauce.
They only let you pick two sauces included in the price, and it's Hit or Miss whether or not the server pours enough of each sauce for you to actually taste it in the bowl (most unfortunately sinks to the bottom and soaks into the rice).
Even when I ask for it on the side, the server usually barely even fills half the to-go container. This wouldn't be such a big deal.... But when you're getting charged for the sauce it is frustrating.
Important: It's not always the case because some servers are generous..... Just frustrating when you get the stingy ones.
It's like when you go to Chipotle and you get one of those servers that gives you half a ladle of chicken when you ask and...
Read moreI have been coming here since this place was first opened. I have to say I’m a little disappointed with the quality lately. Portions are no where as close as they used to be. The standard topping size used to be more generous, and on top of that now they charge extra for extra toppings (didn’t before). Or maybe charge less for if rice is declined, or at least fill up the space with more salad (it is fluffy so push it down a little). Tofu cant be as expensive as sushi grade fish, even if its organic. I shop at whole foods all the time so I have an idea. I recently ordered a salad (but only really got a bowl half filled) with tofu for 12 bucks and I was hungry in an hour. Didn’t give me the right sauce either. I understand things have been tough for everyone with Covid but don’t spend the first two years after you open building up your customer base, and now cut corners. If you have new staff, please train them to maintain the same quality you have been providing...
