The absolute WORST customer service I have experienced. When we went to design and pick out our cabinets, the initial sizing was recommended for 36 inch cabinetry. Once the contractors came out to check measurements, the sizing needed to be changed. I was told that the contractors were going to go over the new measurements with the sales person, Logan, and then our order would be placed and the store would follow up. Fast forward- I had to call multiple times, never got a call back or I would be brushed off and say someone would call me back to follow up- which never happened. At that point we weren’t sure our order was even placed yet. I finally called customer care who informed us our order was placed, but it was scheduled for a May delivery. That was fixed through customer care and the order arrived last week.
Logan, our sales person, informed us since the cabinet size changed we would also be getting a refund. Now to today- my kitchen has started to be demo’d and we have a dumpster rental here, which we only have for two weeks. Now we’ll probably have to pay for an additional two weeks. The contractors showed up to start the install- only to see that the initial size cabinets are what were ordered and delivered. I’m expecting a call back with a timeframe, and we have yet to receive our initial refund. I was told someone would reach back out today or tomorrow- so in the meantime I have no answers onto what to expect next with our order. I will definitely never do business through here again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
Editing to add- I had to call the store to figure out the next step after not receiving an update. We were told we needed to return the cabinets to the store ourselves from the order they placed incorrectly so that they could order the correct ones. Or, we would have to pay $3,500+ up front to order the correct ones and they would refund us once the new ones were dropped off and they picked up the wrong ones. I have never heard of paying more money for an order that was placed incorrectly by the store. In April 2023 Cabinets to Go was hired to provide new cabinetry in my kitchen. The work has been performed but at a substandard level. This is a summary of some of the issues with the vendor. Pictures will demonstrate the inferior work performed.
Inside some cabinets rivets were used instead of screws but multiple holes were created. The unused holes were then filled in with glue. Screws that were used were not flush with the interior walls of the cabinets and drawers. Some of the cabinet doors and drawers were not level so spacing was irregular. Larger spaces can be seen at one end and less space at the other end. In drawers this can be seen at the junction of the corners. The misaligned door spacing can be seen when the cabinet doors are closed. Cabinet door fell off. Door facing was glued on. A drawer does not close completely. The drawer is supposed to be self-closing but must be manually closed. Another drawer is difficult to open. It must be pulled hard to open it up. Bottom drawer is not aligned with the other drawers, so a portion is jutting out beyond the end of the drawers above. The toe kick reaches beyond the bottom kitchen drawer, so it does not align with the drawers above it clearly visible in the gap between the wall the drawers. Sink space created was not measured correctly so the thin support boards had to be cut to fit the sink in flush with the countertop. Metal slides were loose on some of the drawers. The store manager, Jeremiah, took the time to understand the scope of our project in detail, listening attentively to our goals and budget and putting together a customized kitchen design that maximized the use of our space efficiently and affordably. Delivery of the finished cabinets was not only quick but also done in accordance with our schedule. The warehouse representatives, Gerry and Eddie, made sure to call ahead to confirm and adjust our delivery date and Richie delivered the finished cabinets safely and to our complete satisfaction. Although there was minor transit damage to some of the cabinet parts, Pam from the Customer Service team was extremely fast, and very kind, in responding to and resolving our claim. She kept us informed and up to date on the progress of our claim resolution via email, messages, and phone calls… and the parts were replaced within 5 days!. In the end, and thanks to the Shrewsbury MA Cabinets-To-Go team and their Customer Service representative in TN, we have a brand-new customized kitchen that is beautiful, functional and on-budget!
