I'M SO DISAPPOINTED TODAY 05/18. I put a total of $117.70 for today's crap (for 2) This place has always been my favorite place to eat sushi and today was my first time trying hibachi, me and my boyfriend with another family total of 4 people. So my table had 6 people. Each of us was very disappointed and very angry about the attitude there towards the girl who served our table. The first time we sat for 10 minutes to order drinks, she brought drinks and water after 10 minutes. she brought plates but no forks and napkins, 10 minutes later she brought sushi, but still no soy sauce and small bowls for sauce and even spoons and chopsticks. we sat and waited for about 10 to 15 minutes and I used my hands and fork to eat sushi for the first time in my life. However, after that, she didn't come back, we had to call everyone to ask about a few other things. Our table had hibachi, but she only brought salad and 10-15 minutes later she brought soup after the chef came and prepared to cook, not even bringing chopsticks until we asked. She did not take care of our table and we tried to be as calm as possible to ask another staff to help for half an hour, but we waited for that girl. I was really disappointed, we are always polite, but she had a bad attitude on her face and the family that ate with us agreed. They reported that girl to the staff there. I had a tiring day at work today, I thought I would have a good meal at my favorite place but unexpectedly today is probably the last time I come here and the people who sat at my table said the same. I am very sympathetic and patient because maybe you guys are busy but I just saw her trying to pay for other tables and not wanting to serve us. i was really hoping to get an apology from you because maybe you were busy today or something but i saw you smiling brightly at other tables when give them the bills and we just arrived but from start to finish it didn't have a good ending. Finally when leaving i still didn't see her come back to say a word. i hope you guys consider and don't lose any more customers. first time eating out but had to beg and wait for utensils instead of continuing to eat with your hands. your food was ok with me but the service attitude today, the first time i have complained about a service staff. i also work in customer service but i really can't accept her attitude and lack of...
Read moreI don't like writing negative reviews but the fact my situation was dealt with like I was a "bother" prompted this. Upon entering we were seated quickly (place was almost empty accept a few people at bar). Waiter came over, we ordered, served within a reasonable time. After about 15 mins we ran out of wasabi and needed more. Tried to find waiter but couldn't so asked hostess to get him. Instead, the miserable bartender came over with a scowl on her face. We asked for our wasabi and the bartender said to my friend "Do you need more chopsticks?" We couldn't figure out why she asked until looking on floor and seeing 1 was dropped. Was it too much trouble for her to PICK IT UP and say, "oh you dropped" one, so let me bring you a new pair". Instead, she leaves it on the floor. So again, we need to get up and get a new set of sticks. When I asked a second time for our "waiter". The hostess said, "oh he left for the day." I guess that means abandon your patrons and let them fend for themselves. For the 3rd time we had to get up to get our check. Miss Miserable came with a puss on her face and threw it on the table. I've NEVER EVER had to fend for myself in a restaurant. To the bartender----you need an attitude adjustment! Don't you rely on tips?? How about just practicing kindness? To Mangement- You might want to rethink who you hire or do some retraining. Food--- eh. Need to serve...
Read moreI am so glad we finally tried this place as it's right around the corner from my house. So far we have gotten to go food we have not been inside the restaurant so we've been ordering mostly Chinese.
They have a mix on their menu of Chinese, Japanese hibachi, and sushi.
We had gyoza for app - it's a Japanese version of a Peking ravioli. It was very good. We also had beef Negimski for an appetizer. This is teriyaki beef rolled with scallions. Also very good.
Our last appetizer was chicken fingers. I like them because it's Panko and more tempura but my husband didn't care for them. So I would say if you like tempura you'll like these and if you don't I would stay away.
I've become addicted to the lo mein, it is delicious. We usually get the chicken but I've also had the beef and shrimp.
My husband had the chicken hibachi. It comes at rice, soup and salad. It was pretty good but sort of plain.
I had the General Tso's chicken. And honestly it was the best I've ever had.
The best part about Sawa is they sell extra sauce on the side if you want it. Never run out.
I've had takeout many times and it's quick fresh and delicious. We are definitely going to try to eat inside the restaurant when we...
