Silt Discount Liquor — Local services in Silt

Apparently, Silt Discount had my previous review deleted, but im posting it again because the problem continues to happen.

They knowingly sell old, expired beer, oftentimes more than a year old. They claim they don't do this, but after seeing them selling old beer for so long, its obvious they do. They even put expired beers into a small fridge beside the register, hoping to sell them as singles. Most recently I saw "Hemperator IPA" that was over 18 months old!

I have several times bought old, stale, oxidized beer from this store. I spoke with the owner, and she seemed to blame this on the old store manager Rick Aluisi.

They also try to blame thier distribution service for the old product, but I already know they do not return old product, and simply keep them on the shelves until someone unknowingly purchases thier old product, which Silt Discount knows they are doing. Just take a look at the dates on thier Samuel Smith beers. All are over a year old and have chunks of stale beta acids floating at the bottoms of the bottles.

Over the last year, I have purchased on six separate occasions, old, stale, oxidized, spoiled beer.

I then drive miles south of Silt to reach my home, only to realize they have once again sold me foul beer, and all Silt Discount offers to help is for me to drive the twenty minutes all the way back to thier store, just to refund my purchase. No compensation for constantly and knowingly selling me expired products, or my 40 minute commute to go back there, and return home.

This place sucks, and I'm tired of buying thier expired products and being told to just bring it back, over, and over again. On top of that, there are no discounted products here. Columbine Liquor next door is cheaper on just about everything.

Get your act together...

First, I'd like to state I love this store. That being said; my last visit was not pleasant. I lost my wallet and didn't have my ID, and she denied service. Perfectly fine. Considering I frequent this store almost daily, I was a bit upset I had to run across town get my old license. I admit I threw it down on the counter, but her reaction was beyond uncalled for. She cussed at me and threw all my quarters on the ground, then said I was acting like a baby. Really? You're the one throwing my things on the floor. Every experience can't be pleasant, so despite my ban, I will accurately review...

Excellent beer selection, but the prices are NOT discounted. The cashiers (both times I've visted) were unfriendly and rude. Not a single smile. I'll take my business down the block to Columbine Liquors where they are super friendly and they provide nice hometown service...
