Taqueria garcia — Restaurant in Silt

My daughter in law and grandson and I were on our way home from Glenwood Springs yesterday and we stopped here to get some food before driving back to Grand Junction. The young lady took our order but when we went to pay, discovered they do not take cards only cash. It was getting close to their closing time so we ran over to the gas station across the street to use their ATM and restroom. By the time we made it back with the cash, the Taqueria was closed. My daughter in law and I looked at each other and said OH NO! There was a car in the parking lot with a young man behind the wheel and in a few seconds the young lady who took our order came out from the back door. We apologized for taking so long as she must've waited for us as it was 20 minutes after eight. We told her we still wanted our food. I gave her the money and she returned with our order. She then asked if we wanted green or red hot sauce and she came right back with extra hot sauce and change which I told her to keep. Stopped here briefly on our road trip through Colorado and am so glad we did! We had the most amazing breakfast burrito with chorizo after hiking rifle falls. Everything about our burrito was spot on and it came out fast which was perfect because we needed to hit the road. Also the burritos are well worth their price—they’re huge and delicious. Tried the carne asada fries. Definitely lacking in toppings. They use avocado slices instead of guacamole sauce and a sour cream sauce instead of actual sour cream. Lacking cheese too. Whatever seasonings they use on the fries is totally off putting as well. Just season with salt and pepper and upgrades to the guac and sour cream would make these fries...
