Most of the staff is helpful and courteous. We have ran into issues with multiple Fareway brand items going bad before the best by date/expire date. A couple of the the other brands have been just as bad, so keep an eye on your milk products especially. We've also had multiple dry goods that were close to there best by date expiration and dry good are spose to be good for about 8-12 months in my home cupboard (not 1-3 months). The soft shells for burritos/tacos need to be looked at because there has been so many times where some will expire in a couple days but the rest have about 2 weeks till expiration. The evening crew of younger adults last week seemed more concerned with standing around chatting. I walked into an isle and there was four guys standing there talking, two picked up an item off shelf to pretend they were doing something then the one dropped his bag of rice/beans on floor... I asked them are you all just standing around chatting and got mixed responses but the overall was yes. I'm like well I need groceries and you guy are not only blocking the isle but blocking the items I need. They seemed to stick around there for awhile longer then finally they chose to stop their paid goof off time and start stocking.. they still seemed to have trouble not holding each others hand while doing their jobs. The two ladies at the register were making plans to go do stuff, the bagger was bagging super slow so the cashier had to help her. They also bagged up glass bottles with no protection and put heavy items on soft items in the same bags. The choices of items are less than other stores but I've rarely had any issues with fareway ringing up my items with higher prices unlike at another local grocery store. I also purchased alot at the fresh mest counter and there always seems to be multiple products in it that are brown, and or dried out. They must be making more money from products than they are loosing because the prices don't drop much to move them products. I know I don't like pulling meat out of a fresh package when I get home just to have to stand there and question the brown/dry meat they stuffed into my package, that should never happen at a fresh...
Read moreI think I am going to shop at Fareway from now on. Yesterday I went in for a few items and had my 19month old with me who hasn't been feeling the greatest. As he became busier and busier in the store we went to check out and my little one would not let me put him down. As, I had gotten the toy cart with the steering wheels and as many know how hard those are to maneuver. I had one hand and was reaching to grab my items and it was tough! Holding my son, and reaching awkwardly into cart. One of the courtesy clerks saw that I was needing a hand and came and helped grab some of my items in the far back of cart. It was such a simple act of kindness but really made my day and my shopping experience that much better. The clerk did not have a badge that I could see his name, but that was something you do not get at Wal-Mart. Really appreciated the extra hand and kindness....
Read moreThe man working the meat counter Friday night was vulgar, rude, and inappropriate. He was loud, cursing, and couldn't wait to get out of there. He was so rude and distracting most left the counter without purchase. I chose to do the same after he rudely told a customer we don't give people samples ever! The woman was very friendly. I have had 2 terrible experiences in this store lately and will not visit again. Corporate needs made aware of the concerns in this store. I will visit the other 2 locations as I've never had cause for concern. And as I read other reviews on this store it seems the man at the meat counter has been terrible to customers for a better part of a year. Do better...
