Sioux City Red Lobster used to be a good place to eat years ago but now it is not worth the price. Their dishes have small portions compared to years ago but still cost a lot. The hostess made us wait even though the place was extremely empty. The young male server was rude and actually complained about the amount he got for a tip and stated he often gets small tips from other people too. That was extremely rude! He said this even after he never bothered to see if we needed anything else and not once was offered a drink refill. Food quality has gone down as well. The lobster bisque is not good at all. If you want a good lobster bisque get it from Panera. I don't recommend eating here at all.
UPDATE:
Red Lobster reached out and offered to replace my meal for the amount I had spent which was very considerate of them. I did go again and this time I had a server who wasn't much better than the last time. I'm thinking maybe the servers need some retraining. The meals still have smaller portions compared to years ago but I blame the economy and not Red Lobster. The food tasted decent this time around. Maybe it was a different kitchen staff this time. So overall I'd say if you would like to eat decent tasting pricey meals with bad customer service, this is the place you for you. I'll add a couple stars for the corporate team's attempt at making this experience better the second time around, although without the training of this locations' staff, u fo6I don't see any changes coming...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. Advertise Crabfest yet this Red Lobster has no crab???? Drove almost 2 hours for our anniversary. Wife wanted crab legs that she has had every year for the past 27 years. I wanted to try the Mariners boil. Got told after we got there, they were out of Crab of all kinds. Very disappointed but we ordered other stuff but it just didn't do it for us. Waitress was ok basically every table around us she went to was wanting crab of some sorts, so she was probably overwhelmed. I don't know if this is a management issue but this isn't the first time the Sioux City Red Lobster is out of stuff when we go for our anniversary in June. We have gotten to where the last few years after disappointment for our visits in Sioux City we have gone to Des Moines or council Bluffs and have not had issues, so it has got to be something about this particular location. I mean again Crabfest and they are out of Crab...
Read moreFor any who have been to a Red Lobster before, you’ll know what the delicious cheddar bay biscuits are. Yummy buttery garlicky goodness. It’s always a battle to push them away knowing if you don’t, you won’t be able to eat your meal. But they are so good. And you’re hungry when you arrive. Anyhow, those are the one picture. The hose salad is another, which was one of my sides. The baked potato was the other of my 2 choices for sides. Both good but pretty straight forward, and nothing to write home about. For my meal, I chose the pick 2, and my 2 choices were shrimp scampi, and the other was shrimp linguini. The linguini is an Alfredo based, but I always ask them to change the sauce to their Cajun instead. It’s still the Alfredo sauce, but has the Cajun seasonings in it. I like it much better that way. Food is generally good quality, and warm. Service is almost...
