One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, particularly in terms of professionalism and customer service. My boyfriend and I were shopping for his daughter’s upcoming 3rd birthday. One checkout line was busy with a cart full of items, so we were directed to another open register. As we approached, the cashier clearly watched my boyfriend hand me the two items I intended to purchase and say, “I’ll pay for these while you get the other items.”
When she finished ringing up his items, she abruptly set down the “Register Closed” sign and walked away, visibly frustrated and without saying a word. She did this just as I was placing two small items on the counter, with my card already in hand to pay.
Another employee noticed us standing there, confused, and came over to ask what had happened. I explained the situation and expressed how unprofessional and disrespectful the cashier’s behavior was. We immediately requested a refund for everything we had just purchased—approximately $95 worth of items.
The floor manager came over, and we again explained the situation. For a business that presents itself as a “faith-based” establishment, the behavior we encountered was far from those values or standards. I understand that employees need breaks or may have bad days, but there is never an excuse to treat customers in such a dismissive and disrespectful manner.
This experience has completely changed my perception of this store. If this type of behavior is tolerated or representative of its values, it does not deserve my business. I will gladly take my business elsewhere, even if it means paying more for the respect and professionalism every...

Walking in feels like stepping into a magical portal where time and budgets no longer exist. I come in for “just one picture frame” and suddenly I’m staggering out with fake plants, 16 rolls of ribbon, a wooden sign that says Gather (even though I live alone), and enough yarn to knit a sweater for an entire herd of alpacas.
The employees are friendly, helpful, and somehow don’t judge me when I’m whispering “I don’t NEED this, but I NEED this” to a ceramic chicken statue. The sales are legendary—50% off almost everything, which makes me think, “Wow, I’m SAVING money.” Meanwhile, my bank account is filing for bankruptcy protection.
Every aisle feels like a trap set by a crafty genius. Candles? Yep, I’ll take three. Scrapbook paper? Sure, even though I’ve never scrapbooked a day in my life. Seasonal décor? Don’t even get me started. If Christmas threw up happiness, it would look like Hobby Lobby in November.
In short, this place is dangerous—in the most delightful,...
Read moreI came onto your store on last night which was Jan. 3rd around 6:30pm looking at your Valentine's stuff just to hear the cashiers talking bout one of there coworkers. Now this is one of my favorite stores to shop at so hearing this upset me pretty bad. There was 3 cashiers one was a small blonde who looked to be a supervisor or something. A young dark hair girl with glasses and another young girl a little heavier reddish brown hair. Anyways they are talking bout one of your other workers. Something bout always having to use the bathroom and making fun of her disease or her so called disease as they put it. Now ive been coming in there for years and its my favorite store and not once have i ever seen any of the workers act like that nor talk like that. So to hear this was a shock and very disappointing. I feel sorry for the poor girl they were talking about. Maybe the young ladies who were talking about this poor girl need to be reminded and taught some manners and respect that people have health issues they cant always control and to talk about someone else's business like that is...
