Michelle the manager came over to the table and told me what bun comes on the pulled pork sandwich however my son orders it every week when we go there once a week so I told her no you're lying that is not what comes on it I was just here last Tuesday and it was the bigger one that comes on it he always orders the pulled pork and yes he's a kid but he doesn't get a little tiny sandwich he gets the adult pulled pork meal and I explained to her last week it was a bigger bun and she told me no it wasn't when I was literally there last week then she got super offensive called me a liar but when she came over to the table she was already huffing and puffing like she wanted to put me in my place. She said do you want me to get the cook no there's no reason to get the cook I know that I come here every week I also know my son orders the exact same thing every time I go there she called me a liar and made me look like a complete moron in front of the entire party I was with and all the surrounding tables. I finally agreed with her so she would leave the table as she just stared at me wanting me to start a fight with her which I did not do at the dinner table however as soon as she left I ordered the exact same thing online to go. When we were done eating I went to the carryout opened up the container and sure enough it was the Big bun like we get every single week so I had them call the manager Michelle over who Texas Roadhouse sent her to management school that cost $40,000 and that's where she learned about the buns well unfortunately Texas Roadhouse lost $40,000 because she still does not understand what bun comes on what sandwich and then proceeds to tell the pain customers that go there every week that they're a liar and make them look stupid in front of an entire building full of people at this point in time I lost my cool because I was sick and tired of her trying to lie to me and tell me how things are done when I go there every single week it's one of our favorite places so yes I yelled out to the entire building that this manager is a piece of s* and she does lie because I proved her wrong she wouldn't admit it she didn't say oh I'm sorry I thought you ordered this and that comes with the smaller bun she couldn't be the bigger person because she was trying to show me that she was the boss and she might have been the boss when she's at work but when a customer ask for something and want something she's not the boss the customer should be the boss. I'm going to take this to corporate and I understand that her manager will probably be on her side and that's just fine she's going to make me out to be a horrible person and I called her a liar you're correct because she was and I proved her wrong and she just wanted to huff and puff even worse. So now a pain customer that went there every single week for the last 5 years is not allowed to go back all because the manager wasn't trained appropriately, and she literally told me Texas Roadhouse sent her to management school and it cost $40,000 for Texas Roadhouse management School so she could tell me what bun comes with , that was literally her own words. So as somebody that says she wasn't lying has now lied a second time she just lies to keep her lies straight it was a horrible experience our server was excellent, but the management was absolutely horrendous and it's not going to end here she started it I'm going to find a way...
Read moreAfter the “service” my boyfriend & I received on Saturday the 26th...I’m professionally NOT IMPRESSED with SOME of the staff! Now me being me.. still trying to being somewhat considerate and understanding of what we had just experienced. I understand sometimes you gotta “take 5 minutes” for yourself, I understand if you have other tables, I UNDERSTAND it’s now 10:37pm & you guys have stuff to do in order to close...believe me I get it!! But what I don’t understand..is why (by my rough calculations) that it took you almost 40 MINUTES to ask one of your tables, how’s everything? Can I get you refills or anything else? Why did that management makes us feel like as if we had to “dine & dash” as if we weren’t as I mportant as the next customers? OR to just simply greet us again? Why did it take 2 workers that watched one person practically brush off/refuse to get us a fricking refill..that aren’t even getting TIPPED to be our waiters HELP US?! So I’m not one usually to complain/have issues with my “customers satisfactory”...but when my boyfriend tells me right as we got outside that he honestly doesn’t believe that he will be coming back to Texas Roadhouse in Sioux City because of this experience. It’s honestly sad & ashame. Upsetting about the experience that we had… As well ashame that this issues couldn’t be addressed & fixed. It’s like he paid decent money to just have us pushed around. Even by management! I feel personally to this experience that first..COMMUNICATION is key! Whether it be customer to staff, staff to customer & staff to staff. Secondly, the customers..should ALWAYS come first! Finally, employees..including management should really consider their surroundings before addressing/ talking about such a situation he did. So I would like to personally than Cletus & the other gentleman for doing what they did to try making our experience better than it was!! They deserve a RAISE & I wish I knew this other guys name! Yeah people can respond “well it’s their job” but really in all honesty...those two gentlemen could of reacted/responded to us just like our original waitress, the waitress my boyfriend asked for assistance or even like the management. There’s definitely more I wanted to type into my review in order to paint a picture of our experience, but sadly there wasn’t enough room from me to finish...
Read moreI would like to tell you about my experience at the Sioux City Texas Road House. This was the first time I had ever been to a Texas Road House.
We called ahead for seating, and were told to arrive at 7:20. We got there right at 7:20, and had to wait 15 minutes, which wasn't too bad.
Our waitress arrived a few minutes after we were seated. She suggested we place our order in the next minute or two since the place was starting to getting "crazy". She started to leave but I asked if we could place our drink order now. She said "I guess".
She took our drink order, then disappeared for about 10 minutes. So much for trying to order in the "next minute or two". She finally brought our drinks and just as we were about to tell her our order, the music started and she said "I have to go dance" and then left the table! She came back about 10 minutes later, several minutes after the music had stopped. We finally placed our order.
It took quite a bit of time for our food to arrive, I don't know how long exactly, but we went through several drink orders that were each slow to arrive.
When the food did arrive, my steak, which was ordered medium well, looked more like medium. I cut into it as as soon as I got it and the waitress agreed it was not close to medium well. She took the steak, and kindly left my sides. I snacked on them as my 3 companions ate their own food.
After about 10 minutes a manager came around and apologized for my steak, and said it should be back in about 1 minute. About 10 minutes later, someone brought out my steak, which was cooked to medium well this time.
By this time my companions were done with their meals, and I was pretty full from eating bread and my sides. I ended up just taking the steak home with me.
This all really wouldn't have been so bad, but they didn't even offer to take anything off the bill. We paid about $115 for our meal (for 4 people), and I really didn't feel like it was worth near that for the service we received.
All the other food was very good, so I will probably give Texas Road House another chance. But it won't be any time soon, as I really don't feel that I got a very good value this time.
Additionally, I contacted corporate several times about my experience, and never received any response. I can only conclude that they...
