Really poor service. I ordered and paid through the app. I arrived after the text said it was ready, but the window person told me, "We don't send those texts," and told me to park and wait for the firecracker shrimp. I parked. I waited for 25 minutes but no one brought me the food.
After another 10 minutes, I went in. I saw my two dinner boxes - I asked Mickael or Michael if those had been sitting there for the 25 minutes, and he just stared at me. I stared back. Finally, I said, " If those have been sitting there for over 25 minutes, the food in the order should be re fired."
Again, he stared and then said, "Well, if we re - do your order, it will be another 8 minutes because we have to re- do the teriyaki chicken." Then adds, " The person behind you had to wait 25 minutes for firecracker shrimp, too." (As if that should make it acceptable)
At the same time, a cook yells out, " Teriyaki chicken!" indicating it was ready.
So I said, " Let's re- do those orders. "
Well," he snaps at me, " you'll have to wait 8 minutes for the teriyaki chicken."
" It just came up," I replied.
"Well," and now he is really getting annoyed at me, "If you would stop being combative with me, I could remake your order!"
I was just absolutely floored at his behavior and his obvious hostility toward a paying customer who has many other food choices with a few feet of Panda Express.
" Who is your manager, Michael?" I ask. He doesn't acknowledge my question, but another staff member alerts the manager, Vanessa, who came over to me.
I explained the situation and told her that as an English teacher, I am well aware of the difference between being "assertive" or "combative," which I certainly was not. She just stared at me with a fake, pagent inspired smile.
To end the the issue, I had to speak first and I said, "Look it's been a long week, I'll just take it cold"- her smile did not change and she said nothing.
The manager, Vanessa, did not apologize for Michael's outrageous comment to a customer. She offered nothing to offset the 40-minute wait: not an apology, a drink, not even an extra cookie.
Truth be told, she almost seemed afraid of Michael, who apparently runs the show with his incredibly vicious personality. If I return and see him behind the counter, I will absolutely leave.
Kindness equals customer service, and I strongly suggest both of these employees be offered some additional training before they alienate all...
Read moreI have been there twice since opening day. The first time was fantastic and couldn't wait to go back. The second time.....well lets just say it's a good thing it wasn't the first time or I would have never went back for a second time. The fried rice was so over cooked and oily it actually looked dirty and the grains of rice actually looked like oatmeal. The low mein that my husband had was so under cooked the noodles were still crunchy. The honey chicken was NOT good and the orange chicken was good, but COLD. My husband had honey pecan shrimp, again cold, and some other kind of chicken dish that he said he would not have ate it if he had been at a buffet cause it was so mushy and didn't feel like real meat when chewing. Also can not figure out for the life of me why is the menu AFTER where the line forms to start ordering food, if you can't see the menu and the prices, how do you know what you options are for ordering??? I noticed that A LOT of food was in the garbage cans so apparently we were not the only dissatisfied customers. The first time all of the people I was with had so much food left over that we had to get go boxes. The second time the portions were way smaller, not sure if that was because they had a huge line of people waiting to order and they were having problems keeping enough food cooked???? I personally, didn't care that the portions were smaller because I would not have took the extras home anyway since it was so bad, but consistency is key when running a business and wanting re-peat customers so we know what we are getting. Hopefully, things improve dramatically as I was hoping for this to be our new "favorite"...
Read moreFood is usually good. But, they are Always out of several items on menu no matter when you go. Today, I ordered ahead via the app and ordered 2 entrees and super greens and a side of egg rolls. They were out of kung pao chicken but instead of telling me and asking what I wanted in place, they just gave me 2 servings of the other entree. The reason I order a plate and pay more is so I can pick 2 different entrees. This was to be split with my mom. I asked for chili sauce and hot mustard along with napkins and forks and got no napkins and no mustard. I decided to go back because of how much I paid, my order should be correct. Then, the first 2 things I asked for to replace the missing kung pao were also “out” and had to settle for what was “left”. This was 1:30 pm! They did give a little extra orange chicken for the inconvenience. Also, They were out of hot mustard!
Seems like poor management rather than any supply issues because I’ve never had issues like this at other Panda Express locations.
The super greens used to be consistently good but now they are always different and mostly broccoli. Sometimes just broccoli with no seasoning at all. It seems this place is going down hill quickly. Unfortunate. It’s nice to have a fast food option like this in Sioux City but this place won’t be around much longer with...
