Please please please do not take your children here if they are special needs. They will do everything to avoid treatment then refuse to treat when you call them out. They'd rather let a special needs child suffer than just treat them. Our family is having to involve the Louisiana state board of dentistry and the ADA.

Update to bippos reply: After getting no answers from staff about the reluctance to treat my child i asked, didn't threaten, if I needed to involve a lawyer yes absolutely, my child was scared, panicked, and in pain. Any parent is going to advocate for their child. Once treatment was refused we left and the office and staff have been withholding information for days about the staff involved in this incident stating they do not know the names of the people they hire and contract out. Because they are aware we are filing a report against them. After talking with the Louisiana state board of dentistry we know that this information is being voluntarily withheld, because it is protocol and procedure to keep record of these things and the board is also now aware that information is being withheld. I'll also state after talking to several other resources (schools, clinics) in the area about the incident at bippos i was immediately informed by them all that they always tell parents, especially those with special needs children, to avoid this place. I'll also add that it isn't simply my word against the office staff, I also have recording of some of the incident and I'm sure the office has cameras as well if they havnt been deleted to cover any wrong doing.

I'll also add a lawsuit was never "threatened" as you and your staff keep repeatedly using that word, I asked, as in a question' Do I need to contact a lawyer after discussing inconsistencies with the legalities of certain aspects with my child's treatment. My daughter had a traumatic experience at another dental office a few days prior to coming to Bippos, her tooth was to be extracted due to her crown coming off that the previous dentist placed. I wanted to go back to the previous dentist due to them placing the crown. My daughter was fine when we got to the dentist but once the dentist came in and told her that she would need the tooth pulled she got scared. The dentist did not speak to her first, he didn't use any calming mechanisms but he did tell her that she needs the tooth pulled or the problem will get worst as he held the needle in his hand. My daughter began shaking and crying due to being scared- I tried to calm her down and the dentist said, "forget it, send her to peds". A lot more happened but I'm going to get to the good part. Once we left I began looking for a pediatric dentist on my own, our insurance was called and we asked for a recommendation which they recommended Bippos Place. The moment I called they were amazing, Ms.Jen was so helpful and reassuring. Ms.Jen explained so much to me and was understanding as well. Ms.Jen even mentioned the lingo used within the business which was so comforting- she even explained how they don't let the kids see the needles. Dr.Jill is wonderful she was so informative and calm, she even included me when doing the exam. I explained to Dr.Jill what happened a few days prior and she made sure to let it be known ahead of time to make my child comfortable and that it was a priority. The moment we walked in they made my child feel like a superstar as she was nervous and told me, on the way back to Bippo's for the extraction. One thing my child asked me was if they would have a blanket. Once we got in the room they made her comfortable and gave her a blanket. During the procedure my child did not cry, she didn't groan, she finished with a smile on her face and when we walked out Dr.Jill made sure she was okay, now that is awesome! I usually have a good experience at this dental office but today was an absolute nightmare. I called earlier this week to get my son’s front tooth fixed from a chip that he had called and explain the problem to the The lady that answered the phone and I was explaining to her that this is an emergency and I want his tooth fixed Because he has to attend his grandmothers funeral on Saturday. so she scheduled me for the next available appointment we go in and they only did a cleaning on my sons teeth they did not address what we came to get fixed she told me she couldn’t rebuild his tooth because it would take two hours nowhere that I’ve been to to get my sons to fix this is the third time that I’ve had to get to get this done has took two hours for one tooth on top of it why didn’t they express over the phone when I scheduled the appointment that his tooth wouldn’t be fixed I just don’t understand how a dental clinic will allow their patient to walk out with a chipped tooth I would not recommend them for emergency issues.

I did not even authorize them to clean my sons teeth I only wanted them to look at his tooth that was chipped.
