Food Lion — Local services in Smithfield

Came to do my weekly shopping, I got up to the register and realized I left my wallet in my truck. The lines were kind of long so I pushed my cart by the customer service desk. I let the associate know that I would be right back inside as I left my wallet in my truck and to please not let anyone take it. After I got my wallet I came back inside, the young gentleman working at customer service register asked Keshawn (I'm almost positive I did not spell that right) to grab my cart and put it behind the desk with him. I wish I had gotten the young man's name behind the register. We all laughed about it because I didn't want them to think that I was just leaving a basket full of groceries and not come back. While I was walking to my truck, Keshawn ran over and grabbed my cart, he told me that he was going to assist me today. I didn't know how to react because I've never had my cart pushed out for me lol. He helped me unload everything. I just wanted to give kudos to him and his friend at the register, definitely outstanding young men! I felt terrible that I did not have any cash on me, but I come in quite frequently so I told him I would get up with him next time I was there. Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. This gentleman is the kind of guy that can ruin a business the store is fine price are cheaper then the fafresh down the road. Food lion's card machines where not functioning properly for a while seem to be fixed now.tje store is being renovated and it looks great and has always felt very clean. There is a manager named Bruce that o would fire if he treated.my customer like he treated me. I understand wen me and my family go shopping Sunday I don't wear my church close but to loudly and aggressively announce that the problem is that I cannot afford my bill to the point where you upset my wife and children and even your own employee asked you to stop as you forced you way in to clear.my transaction. I the walked over to the ATM and withdrew the money in cash to pay the bill. When my wife start to express how you.made her fell you raised your voice to talk over her. We realized there is no talking to you.we just hope on pray this is not a representatation of how food lion trains customer service.i would fire you if you work for me that day you should have been absolutely embarrassed by...

Food Lion has some new competition in our area. I think it has been good for the store, helping them to up their game some on the stocking, freshness of the food and service. I was buying organic fruit from another store but their fresh organic fruit game only lasted about 4 months. We have come back to Food Lion because fruit at the other store was rotted and rancid! Would love some more bogo competition! Prices a little better than the other store. Wait time in line not bad at all about 2 minutes. Very clean and put together, whoever is running through...
