We had my daughter's 13th Birthday here on a Saturday at 2 pm. The facility was hosting two other parties from 2pm to 430pm. The facility closes at 430. Each party is supposed to have a party room for 45 minutes. We ordered two pepperoni pizzas, a cheese pizza, and three pitchers. We didn't receive one of the three drinks we ordered; instead, we received something different when it was brought up to one of the servers. The response was that they didn't have it. Come to find out that they had it was just a mistake. This was addressed when confronting the owner on why we were put in the room 20 minutes later then when we're supposed to be, why one of the three pizzas was cold along why staff thought it was nessary after being in the party room for 15 minutes to take the pitcher (one completely full and the other half full) and perceeded to take the pizza trays. They brought in cupcakes, which were claimed to be ordered. You can clearly tell they are not made to order and are very gross. None of the kids ate them, they chose to throw them away instead. They were in such a hurry to get the candles that were no longer burning, so they could be reused, supposedly, after kids pulled them out and licked them. Hopefully, they truly don't reuse them. Overall, I would highly suggest having your child's birthday somewhere else. The owner couldn't care less about the experience and problems with the nonchalant attitude and the response of "I'll bring it up to the party planner". Overall the kid had a good time, thats what matters. But definitely be aware of what your going to end...
Read moreI enjoyed skating and the facility is great. However, my recent visit took away from that appreciation. I was not allowed to obtain my shoes after skating without an adult. This policy was not advertised well, and I didn't think it would be any problem. I am 16 and they were perfectly fine with selling me admissions and skate rental. According to them, it was some "Friday night policy." In addition, I wasn't allowed to leave without parents present. The fact is, what if I had driven, which some of my friends did, how would I, or they, get out? Would I have to wait for my folks? I had no problem when I visited during the Christmas break. I was in and out with no confrontation. I honestly don't wish to return for quite a while, or at least until these "rules" change. The environment, and more specifically the employees, made my visit somewhat disapointing. Some of the employees apparently weren't even informed about the new rules, and thus all of my friends managed to get their stuff back, but I managed to draw the short straw and had to wait for a parent. I'm giving it 3 stars still for the fact that skating was enjoyable, but those two stars that are not present is due to this...
Read moreI am so glad we looked up other local skating rinks instead of driving all way to Tidewater again. This place was a bit eerie to drive into the parking lot of, really seemed untouched from the 80's just some lawn care maintainence. However, when my son and I walked in, we were both equally impressed. No gum covered, stinky hall to stand in, just a nice spacious area, and then upon entry we come straight into the game, shop, restroom, and food areas. The set up was really nice, in this section you can see from one side to the other but it's not to much or echoey. Then walking towards the back where we picked up skates it opens up to the rink. The rink was nice and we had fun. There wasnt to many people, even for a rainy day Family Sunday Skate. The prices are just amazing on skating and food. I wasnt impressed on the food especially for the wait time it had but the price and convenience I cant complain to much. We will definitely be back, especially learning they have a...
