Food Lion — Local services in Smyrna

This Food Lion is one that I go to frequently because it's on my normal everyday route. I go because I can find essentials for a reasonable price and I can be in and out of the store in a reasonable amount of time. I even left my belongings at self check out once by accident and they held my things for me. I was so happy and thankful. The only real complaint I have about this store is that their fruit and vegetable selection is very mediocre. Sometimes you may find things, other times you won't. I just get what I can get. I love this store as it is always very clean, to include the bathroom. I'm an older woman and having to use the bathroom often makes my life much better knowing that they are clean. The employees at this store are exceptional! I absolutely love shopping there. There prices are mostly on point and I can always find something within my budget there. The produce is always fresh and the employees work hard to keep that store immaculate! Honestly, this store has so much going for it. It's always clean, the employees are friendly, and the prices are just unbeatable. But man, the constant push toward more self-checkout lanes is a real pain. It's a total bummer watching the few cashiers they have at the manned registers look completely overwhelmed and exhausted, while grocery prices just keep going up.
