Very disappointed. While I understand this location is new, and there must be a learning curve, this Burger King has been a disappointment. The first thing I do not like is the way the park lot is designed. The first day was a zoo because cars wanting to join the drive thru line were caught in a traffic jam of those trying to leave the drive thru. Cars parked closest to the building were trapped by car in the drive thru line. I will not hold that against the restaurant, but making an observation. The next time I visited, I was told there was no soda...no fountain drinks. 🤨 and I get it...things happen. New location. However, it is also how you handle the situation. No solution was offered. Not an apology, not a, "hey would you like some water, some sweet tea or even a milkshake"...it was just like, that's the norm... went a time after that, after our little snow storm, waited in drive thru line and no one said anything...the restaurant was open, but either someone didn't have their microphone on, or it was closed...either way, no signs were posted. Left and went to Hardee's. The vehicles behind me waited at the order box and then joined me at Hardee's...lights were on, you could see employees and customers inside, but who knows what happened. Last time I was there, my chicken sandwich was swimming in mayonnaise. While I requested no pickles on my Big King, I still expected other toppings. I got a smear of ketchup and a few thick slices of onions....that's it. So that was my final straw. I get it, I worked food service and hospitality. I know things happen and go wrong. I'm not expecting perfection. I am expecting you to do your best and try to go over and beyond to ensure that I (as the customer) am satisfied and...
Read moreOn Jan 14th at 2pm I went to Burger King in Smyrna delaware. The manager at the drive through was very unfriendly, rude and was rushing me to get my order. I told her over the intercom that she was rushing me and asked her to stop being unfriendly. She told me she didn't have to take my order if I wasn't happy. I told her I needed her name and at that point she declined my order. It got me very upset so I went inside to tell her how I felt about her customer service and her unprofessional attitude. I don't understand why a manager feels like she has the right to be so unfriendly and welcomes conflict with her and her customer rather than deescalating the situation. I thought maybe it was me but then I went online to check reviews on Google and Facebook about this place and it seems this place has really bad customer service, the reviews are bad and it reflects on how I was treated tofay. I am really reconsidering ever ordering food from there again like many who already decided to stop going there. It's a new burgerking here in smyrna and the people in this town did not expect this type of treatment. That manager should get fired. I'm expecting an apology from her and maybe I'll apologize too about my choice of words. I am expecting to hear back from...
Read moreStood in front of the counter for 5+ min with 2 other people. No one acknowledged anyone standing waiting to order. I over heard one tall man working say to his team members “we are not going to go there because people won’t like what I’m gonna say “. I think he was an assistant manager because he was directing the crew. A customer who received his food said to the one staff member “I’ve been here 2 times before and both orders were messed up, if this one is I want my money back”. We seen him walk out minutes later. Guess what happened? We all decided to leave and upon leaving my wife said thank you. The multi colored hair manager responded with a cocky “thank you” back. My wife said “for nothing”. She responded again smartly “your welcome”. This Burger King is a JOKE and I will never go back. No leadership or management. The manger on duty had the counter girl running orders out to drive thru customers with direct disregard for patrons wanting to order. It appears to me the owners don’t have money or don’t care because they lack equipment other Burger Kings have at the front of the house. If they don’t get their act together, they will lose customers faster than...
