Smoothie King — Restaurant in Smyrna

7/11/25 update. I spoke with Smoothie King corporate office and explained my frustration with the Smyrna location and the manager. She advised me that it is company policy to re-make the entire order and not partial, and to apologize for their mistake. Daniel, the manager was completely in the wrong when he said he would only re-make my order in a 20 oz when I paid for a 32 oz and should have also apologized for their mistake.

She advised they will be contacting that location to speak with his higher up about this and his lack of customer service.She also refunded my money back which I’m happy about.

The owner of this location should reprimand this Manager. Daniel could have provided better customer service without going this route. He has wasted my time and wasted my money because I threw out the drink. He completely ruined my day and my lunch time and acted as if he didn’t even care in a nice sarcastic attitude with absolutely no apology.

Today 7/10/25 I ordered my usual 32 oz daily warrior in the store. After I left to drive back to work, the drink had a weird taste and did not taste the same. I drank about 10 oz thinking it was just me but it kept getting worse. I drove back to the store. The manager, Daniel, advised me since I drank some of the drink he would only make me the 20oz. No apologies at all for their mistake. I told him I ordered a 32 oz and that’s what he should make. He refused in a nice sarcastic attitude. I told him to forget it and I’ll just take back my drink. He just said “ok” and I could just complain on the survey. I will never go to this location again. He treated me as if I was a thief. I don’t usually leave reviews, but my recent visit to Smoothie King absolutely deserves to be recognized and that’s all thanks to the incredible manager, Daniel.

From the moment I walked in, Daniel made me feel genuinely welcomed. His energy was warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. He not only greeted me by name (which shocked me, because I’ve only been in a couple of times), but he also remembered my usual order and asked if I wanted to switch it up or try something new.

What truly stood out was his attention to detail and customer care. I had a couple of questions about ingredients due to dietary restrictions, and Daniel went out of his way to explain everything thoroughly. He even offered to customize my smoothie to better suit my needs, and let me tell you, it was delicious.

It’s rare to come across a manager who takes this kind of pride in their work and makes such a genuine effort to create a positive experience for every customer. The store was clean, efficient, and running like clockwork, and it’s very clear Daniel sets a high standard for his team.

Called in my order yesterday, had forgotten what one of the smoothies was called and what it had in it but the girl on the phone was super helpful and knew exactly what smoothie I was talking about. When we got there, they were pretty busy and nobody (staff or customers, besides us) were wearing masks (for future readers, there is a literal pandemic going on right now and I am immune compromised so other people wearing masks is just as important as me wearing a mask myself.) But, the staff did, at least, have gloves on while handling everything. Also, all of the girls working were very nice, attentive, all said “thank you, have a good day,” and the smoothies were made perfectly. All in all, great service and I will return as I have many times already. What we ordered: the vegan mango kale smoothie with strawberries added, and a daily warrior smoothie.
