Last Friday was the Grand Opening of City Farmers Market in Snellville. I must say this was the worst shopping experience EVER. I had received two notices via mail informing me of the Grand Opening on 10/12. I arrived there at about 10:30 am to be informed that the store would not open until 1pm. No where on my notifications did it state opening was at 1pm. I returned at 12:30pm....parking was already tight.....and a line of people formed all the way into Bethany Church Road. Cars were trying to get into the entrance partially blocked by the shoppers......no one directing traffic or pedestrians......a very dangerous situation. Out of curiosity, I stayed and finally was able to enter the store at about 1:30pm. Very difficult to navigate around the produce. I went to the fish department and tried to purchase several items...however I could not..as the young lady behind the counter seemed unable to weigh and price. I finally did get my shrimp...but she overcharged me for it. I left behind crab claws and salmon as I could not get anyone to price it, even though the fish department was not busy at that time. I headed for the bakery, as I had a coupon for a free french baquette. They were taking french loaves out of the oven, but they would not give me one as the said I would get one upon checking out. Check out was a nightmare....at least 45 minutes. I finally left the store about 2:45pm......they had just "run out " of the french baquettes. Also, many items in the store were not priced. All in all a really...
Read moreGood morning Googlers, I gave this market 5 stars cause it’s the only one I’ve been to thus far,it’s 45 minutes from my house and serves my needs. They have live seafood here,it’s fresh too!,I love fish,,it’s the reason why I go and all of the wonderful seasoning and international ones at that, the jarred marinades especially if you’re from the islands the assortment they have is crazy cool. I love cooking with different seasoning and herbs they have it here, the produce dept is bananas all different fruits and vegetables and herbs, cheap prices and the prices for fresh seafood is unmatched too me very cheap,if you decide to stop in get in when they first open up,I think a lot of restaurant owners are there and they are stocking up like crazy…they have fresh blue crabs kinda small to me or just the day I went to get them, fresh crawfish as well. Different types of rice dry beans etc…. The store is really clean I love that, however when upon ordering your fish the workers there seem to have an attitude they’re not very personable but hey I’m not there to make friends just need to get my fish, and who would be smelling like fish all day huh? Try City Market out and you...
Read moreGreat store, good customer service from the front end and the middle age+ workers. I have enjoyed shopping here for 3yrs+, consecutively. Only had one annoying encounter September 2023 at the sea food section where this fairly tall gentleman, seems fairly new as of mid 2023. He spoke to his co-worker in their first language when the atmosphere was not conducive and the negative tension in the air was too strong not to notice. Anyways, the sea food crew work really hard and I appreciate them for that. I just love them. Though they are always overwhelmed with attending to customers, they still take the time to understand each person's request ( at least my experience and observation, can't speak for everyone) neither will one bad encounter spoil my Perception of the store. Thank you city farmers market, you take everyone close enough to their various dishes of origin. Thank you for supplying unlimited variety at the produce section. Much appreciation to all the workers who smile and stay polite to the customers even when their job seems demanding. I hope to get to serve one of you all one day when our paths cross, it will be a...
