Our family has enjoyed frequenting the Mole Hole for many, many years. My grandmother remembers when the establishment was underground many years ago! They have awesome products.
We were sad to see that the location was changing. This morning, we were at the location it has been for many years one last time before the move (since we visit from out of town). When my mom asked the lady about it, she was short with my mom and said she could buy something to remember them by. At that time, I was looking around the store. This other lady working there kept looking at me and my shopping bag (I had just bought larger items at the hardware store, so the bag was big); it made me feel uncomforable as though she thought I was going to steal something. I said that she kept looking at my bag and I then made it clear that I would never steal anything. The other sales lady then starting saying loudly, "Have a nice day, have a nice day." Unfortunately, incredibly rude and very sad, especially since the Mole Hole used to be a favorite store in Solvang that we used...

An employee greeted me pleasantly, let me browse and said they were available if needed. I didn't ultimately buy anything, but I could see where this could be a go-to shop for...

Well, step into The Mole Hole in Solvang and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. My mom and I bought our heart’s desire of stuff for ourselves, but as perfect gifts too for very special people. If you are ever in the area, stop by and I bet you will be in there at least an hour deciding which gift you don’t want, cuz you’ll want everything! Oh and the customer service? I’ve worked in customer service my entire life, so I know when it’s good and I know when it is bad. Five stars is for the customer service alone. I need five more stars for everything else good...
