Very poor customer service and do not honor prices or agreed up conditions. I was helping a good friend of mine from oversees figure out living arrangements for his graduate program at the university. Since he couldn't travel to the states until his program started, I volunteered to travel from Chicago to tour the apartments and work out some details. He had been in contact with them and let them know I was coming and they already had a general idea of types of rooms/budget he was looking for so I really was just going to make sure everything checked out. The initial visit went well and we had decided on a specific room at a specific rate after that was completed. I let my friend know and he then got back in touch with the leasing agent to finalize the paperwork, applications, and fees. We thought all was good but the day after my visit the Foundry went silent. No one would answer any phone calls or emails. My friend was from a different time zone in the world so he would purposely stay up late to try and communicate with them but no answer. I even tried calling a few times and got no where. Then, out the blue, days later a different leasing agent gets in touch with my friend as if was a completely new client trying to pitch him on different rooms and different prices for the same apartment he was already looking at. He tried explaining the process he had already been through but no one seemed to be able to understand, or care. They just kept running him around in circles. They would not honor the original price and up-charged the new rate significantly. Getting no where, but needing a place to live, my friend finally decided to just give in and sign at the new rate. Come to find out though, after they ran him through the wringer, the room was no longer available and there were now no other apartments available for him to stay at. They completely screwed him and now he is scrambling to find a place to live. It was also a complete waste of my time as well. Foundry, way to treat your potential clients. Really good job. You're really making it easy those taking such a big risk leaving their family and country trying to make something of themselves in America.

The leasing team said I could rent a Golic floor plan, unit A2032, which they advertise on the web site as between $1,387 - $1,412 per month.
I paid the $350 application fee to get everything squared away, then after being approved, they sent me the lease for unit A2302.
I reviewed the lease agreement and it says this Golic unit's rent will be $1,546 per month.
I called to discuss the pricing difference and was connected to Kyah. After over an hour on hold waiting for the property manager or leasing director, neither would take my call and Kyah covered for them.
Kyah advised that unit A2032 is a Golic floor plan with 530 square feet, which she says explains the higher monthly rent than what was advertised on the website.
Since the Foundry's website lists all Golic floor plans in the $1,387 - $1,412 range for monthly rent, I requested the Foundry abide by what's listed on the website. Kyah refused to accept responsibility for the incorrect pricing on the website and stated "I apologize for the fact that you did not inquire about other pricing further".
The duty of correct pricing falls in The Foundry's requirements. It is not my duty as a consumer to speculate and anticipate you'll change the pricing on me, after I pay a $350 application fee. As a result, the Foundry lied and deceived me.

Read moreEnjoyed the Foundry x 8 yrs thus far with 2 kids attending Notre Dame. Location could not be better with access to campus, dining options, shopping, the bookstore & the football stadium. Appreciate the safety measures in place with locked doors/ intercom & emergency options if locked out. Parking well run, safe & new key card system efficient. Cleanliness is the highest priority. Even on busy football weekends, the halls, garage, stairwells & elevators are immaculate. We have friends attend & have never been embarrassed. The trash valet system works well & there’s a dumpster behind building if needed. Customer service has always been a top priority, with fast response time from Helenann or manager, Christine. They’ve helped us problem solve issues over the years & directed us to proper resource. Have needed documentation from Christine & goes above & beyond. Appreciate the parking security. Maintenance occurs promptly, efficiently with trustworthy response & communication from Mike. He has also intervened after hours when we had an issue with A/C and locks. We’ve never worried about access while gone. Have planned a party on the top level through Mimi, who provided recommendations of vendors & suggestions for successful event.
