Florida Home and Patio Furniture — Local services in South Bradenton

Unfortunately our experience with Clyde and Florida Home & Patio did not go too well. The issue really isn't with the furniture or the delivery, it's how my wife was treated by Clyde when he couldn't remember that I had paid for our furniture in full when the main pieces were delivered. 2 Weeks later (while I was 2000 miles away!) Clyde delivered a back ordered piece. At that time he requested payment again even when my wife verified with me that we had paid in FULL weeks before. So it boiled down to my wife having to pay Clyde again as he was insisting or not get delivery of our back ordered chair. Then an hour after the delivery and the over payment - Clyde calls my wife and says yes you already did pay it. OK, now we are getting somewhere! My wife asks him just to void the credit card transaction with the over payment - only he doesn't want to do that. ( I am assuming he didn't know how to void the transaction) Clyde tells my wife he will send a check out the following week. Gee thanks! Folks we are not talking about a small amount here-almost $2000.00!, So, I caution you about a business that has nice products, but has poor business practices like blank sales receipts. No address or company name on the sales receipts. No warranty information or any care instructions with our delivery. AND the Biggest issue not understanding how to run his business. Either poor record -keeping or poor knowledge of how credit cards work. Either way - if you are going to do business with...

5 stars for businesses are a rare thing for me but Florida Home and Patio deserve every star. We worked with Laurie and Joe in purchasing a whole bunch of things. We had been traveling for 13 years so had no furniture, to speak of. We special ordered a bedroom set with a California King bed, two night stands, a dresser and a chest of drawers plus 2 sets of lamps, and an outdoor wicker table with glass top and 4 chairs.

We had to special order the California King sized bed because no one carried the one we wanted in that size. Florida Home and Patio were the only ones I called willing to do a special order. Their prices and quality are excellent plus they have really unique items with a Florida vibe. Service is excellent and with a smile! Even the delivery people were excellent and would do anything to make sure the furniture was set up how we liked. The owner even called to see to see if our special order was correct and the delivery was what we expected. Who does that anymore?

We were looking for the perfect outdoor set for our family to enjoy the beautiful Sarasota weather and Florida Home and Patio more than delivered! We were welcomed by a smile and friendly demeanor by one of the owners. Unlike most furniture stores, we weren’t stalked from the moment we walked through the door, which was a nice change from the other stores we had been to over the last few days. The furniture is spectacular, well made and the prices are outstanding! We purchased an outdoor couch, chair, table and pillows. The furniture is actually made right here in Florida so a bonus to help support our local economy! We highly recommend stopping in and looking around! We will be going back because I have my eye on the perfect couch and love seat for the living room! Thanks Florida Home...
