Sunnfood — Restaurant in South Bradenton

Originally going to another restaurant, which I couldn't find. I found Sun'n Food food truck at a gas station and excited it was a Venezuelan food truck. The Pabellón for lunch is rice, shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantain (maduro), and shredded hand cheese. Ask for the green sauce, which is creamy with cilantro and spices.

The lady mentioned the cachapas are really good. I look forward to going back for the perico arepa, patacón, and the empanadas.

Me and my boyfriend came to have breakfast as we are visiting Sarasota, we are both Venezuelan and have a very strong opinion about our food but this place delighted us. Amazing service, very nice and welcoming people. We had empanadas, a cachapa and a Cruzado which is a soup, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. 10/10, the meat was soft and tender, flavorful as if it was made at home. The corn in the cachapas was soft and sweet and let’s not even talk about the cheese. You HAVE to come and try...

I would give them 500 stars if I could! This food will make you say hallelujah!! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. I had the cachapa, shredded beef empanada, and a passion fruit slushy. I haven't had a cachapa since being in Venezuela because what I have tried in the US doesn't taste good. Not any more! I can't wait to eat this again and try everything else...
