Vertoris Pizza House — Restaurant in Florida

Excellent find! Google gluten free and came up to this little spot we didnt even know existed ...well it was most definitely the best find in along while, we recieved a warm welcome and were told to sit where we pleased then a friendly lady came and we had a million questions we asked and if she didn't know or was uncertain she made sure to go seek the answers for us not only are we gluten free were dairy free as well as alot of other wheats ect so she was very helpful in getting all the answers we bombarded her with and she was happy and pleasant the whole time then, who we believe to have been the owner was picking on her and teasing us about him being sorry we had her as our server now mind you she was AMAZING but the playful demeanor amongst them was fun and you could tell they both enjoy what they do . After we finally decided our order with some recommendations from our server it started to get very busy and our server still managed to give us all the first time guest attention we needed and made sure we were happy and enjoying everything all the while answering phones seating others taking orders cashing out ect and again all the while she was happy and very pleasant, the cook even helped run food and answer phones a time or two excellent team work! well biggest recommendation for starters was the GF mozzarella sticks and boy o boy they were every bit of amazing as promised then we did GF DF Rustica Pizza simply amazing while family got recommended Chicken wings with 3 different ways to have them we did crispy coated with Jamaican Jerk and Garlic Parm they couldn't stop raving about them and then we ordered Chicken Parm dinner with house salad with chianti dressing and also Shrimp scampi (only thing I couldn't do was fettuccine noodles ) also with the house salad and it was absolutely amazing and then we were talked into the fresh baked desserts in the display case and I never in my life had that many options to choice from I went with the GF DF cupcake but we also got a peanut butter pie that was recommended also as fan favorite as well as the cheesecake with fruit drizzled on top . We were so in our glory from start to finish from service to food to cleanliness just all of it was absolutely 10/10 and we can't wait to go back and try the next batch of recommendations keep up the great work guys yall rock! We have been ordering pizza from Vertoris for the past 3 years because our kids went to the same VPK school and he loved the pizza that you would take to the school. On Monday 4/1/19 my husband ordered wings with no issues. On Tuesday 4/2/19 I remembered we have 8 pizza magnets but they are on our refrigerator at our home in Alabama. So I called at 4pm when your store opened, spoke with Matt and he said he would "hook me up" since I didn't have my magnets in my possession. I was under the impression that I would receive a free HUGE pizza once 8 magnets were collected. Matt then informed me that it was only $15.00 off my order. I told him that's fine I'll take the HUGE pizza with cheese, pepperoni, and half with mushrooms he said ok 30-45 min. An hour later I call and spoke to a female that told me that the driver got a flat tire and came back to the store to have them make us a fresh pizza and will be leaving shortly. An other hour later my husband called and was told that he just left the store with our pizza. At 7pm now, 3 hours after your store opened, my husband called back and someone said he should be there in 5 min. It's now 7:15pm. We waited for 3 hours and 15 min for the driver to say "SORRY WE FORGOT ABOUT YOUR PIZZA" and your total is $3.59 I handed him $5.00 and he had the nerve to question the $5.00 as if I didn't give him enough money. I never received the HUGE pizza I was handed a very cold large not HUGE size pizza that I thought I had ordered. My friend found this place while searching online for a pizza place for us to go to prior to a show at the State College of Florida. We had a fantastic experience! The food was amazing.

We keep talking about the pizzas we had and looking for things to do in the area just so we can go back to Vertoris! My two friends shared a white pizza with mushrooms and spinach. I had the red sauce with green pepper and onion. We ordered both pizzas with the thin crust option. Best thin crust pizza I've ever had. It was not cracker crust. It was slightly crisp (not burnt) on the bottom but also a tiny bit chewy. Just perfect.

People at the table next to ours had lasagna. It was a huge quantity, so they had another meal or two left, which they took home with them. It sounded like they were weekly regulars. I can understand why. I wish this restaurant was located in my town of Parrish, FL. I'd be a regular too!

As for atmosphere, it isn't that type of place. It's a small Italian food and pizza joint. You come for the delicious food, not the atmosphere. The place was clean. Dave, who I presume is one of the owners, was very friendly to us and the rest of the customers. Food didn't take long to prepare and it was brought out piping hot.
