I came here tonight for an emergency purchase that my office needed immediately. i tried to call them 5 minutes before they close to let them know I was coming but no one answered the phone, even until I showed up at the front door. I arrived at 7:58, they still had customers in the store and they would not let me in. I showed the girl that all I had to buy was a pack of large vanilla envelopes, as I brought one with me to compare the size, and I would be on my way. She looked at me through the glass door and kept shaking her head and pointing at her watch. I said I'll be super quick and I only have one thing to buy, you guys are still open for one more minute! She would not open the door! My office is right by Walmart which I could have easily went to, but instead I chose to go to office Depot to get better quality product. The traffic in this area is absolutely horrendous which made me get there later than expected and we needed these envelopes for our office for closing paperwork for tonight because they need to go into a private location. Thanks a lot office Depot for nothing! I had to run to Walmart which still did not have them. You easily could have let me in and it wouldn't have even been a 30 second transaction. We spend almost $1,000 a month in the store for supplies for our office and you couldn't give me one minute when you still had customers...
Read moreI visited the Office Depot on Cortez Road in Bradenton, FL today and had a very disappointing experience. I came in looking to buy a camera and asked an employee, Jennifer, for help. She told me they didn’t have cameras in store, which I understood, but when I asked if she could help me order one online using my Office Depot gift card and pay the different with my creditcard, her response was extremely dismissive. She said, “You have to find a way to do it,” in a very sharp tone. When I asked for the store manager, she smiled and told me that she was the manager.
I was surprised and disappointed by her attitude, especially since I only asked for help completing a purchase through Office Depot. I left the store feeling that customer service was not valued here. As a loyal customer, I hope Office Depot takes this feedback seriously, because interactions like this make me think twice about shopping here...
Read moreI purchased a coin sorter and took it out of the box. I did not have any wrappers so I did not use it right away. They didn’t have any in stock at the store so I was unable to test it out the same day of purchase. I did throw away the box, but kept the receipt. Within seven days, I returned to the store to either return the item, exchange the item, or get the store credit. The coin sorter did not sort dimes and was inaccurate most times anytime a dime would be in there it would jam 100% of the time. When going into the store with the receipts the lady had it just stated nothing I can do because I did not have the box. I explained that I just bought this less than seven days ago from the store I have the receipt and she said here’s our return policy you can read it. I don’t typically take things back I did not realize a box was needed, but now I’m stuck with a defective products that I...
