Mattress Firm Bradenton — Hotel in South Bradenton

I am Juan Carlos Portilla and I purchased two headboards at the Mattress Firm Store on Cortez in Bradenton Florida. My experience was negative. One the headboards took a month to arrive. I called the store manager who was the person who sold me the headboards. His name is Preston. He said that he was going to take care of the issue and promised me a call the day after. He never called me. I waited for a week and he did not call me. I called the store and no person was able to let me know where Preston was. One person who picked my call was Dimitry and he said that he did not know Preston. Dimitry told me that he did not care my situation because he did not sale me the headboards. He began to yell at me and he finished the call. I then needed to call again and my case was transferred to Paul. Paul promised me a resolution but he never provided me with a solution. I had to call him several times. But no answer from him. He went to vacation and my issue was not resolved. I felt like I was begging for the headboards I purchased there. Preston dropped the ball as he wrote down my address incorrectly. They had to provide me with a lower quality headboard after a month. I never got the headboard my wife and I wanted. I do not recommend this place for customers. Preston, Paul and Dimitry have been the worse Matrees Firm I ever met. Matrees Firm does not care about the post sale time for the its customers. On 08/21/2022, I purchased a mattress, box spring, and bed frame as part of holiday promotional deal. The purchase included a comfort bundle (demo floor). Well the bundle was missing a pillowcase. Evan, my sales associate told me that he would check other stores to see if he could find another matching pillowcase. He assured me that he would follow-up with me in the next couple of days. I was satisfied with his response. On the day of the purchase my experience at the store and with Evan was positive. However, the next series of events turned a positive into a negative. Evan did follow-up with me a few days later to tell me he was still looking. Again, he told me he would follow-up in a few days. I did not hear from him so I called the store and left a message for him. A few days later he called and said he was going to reach out to corporate. He told me that he would follow-up in a week. That never happened. Over the next 2 weeks I called the store a few more times and left messages for him but he never returned my calls. So this review is not because I didn’t get a pillowcase. This review is to let you know some customers (like me) appreciate a business that keeps their word and does what they say they’re going to do, it’s the principle. All he had to do was follow-up, regardless if he could or could not get the pillowcase. I would have been satisfied with his efforts. I will not be doing business with Mattress Firm...

Just bought a great mattress, pillows, and sheets from Nick at the Cortez location. We can probably get this mattress from several different mattress stores, but after our first interaction with Nick, we will only buy from him. He was zero pressure, and said he completely understands if we wanted to shop around. It was more than a level of confidence, he came across that he genuinely wanted us to be happy with our purchase. We checked one competitor and went straight back. Nick gave us a ton of information about a lot of different brands, pros and cons based on our preferences, and really took the time to explain the "why" behind his suggestions. He thoroughly explained their services and what he could offer us to give us a fair price. He also helped guide us to the right product by setting the expectation about the "break in period," among other things. Bottom line, we found Nick to be an honest, fair, and patient person to work with, which is incredibly important when we're preparing to buy something we'll spend a third of our time on for the next 12 to 15 years.
