Got a full tune on my skis ($70). They were overdue- the edges were dull, there were various deep scratches in the base, some from rocks that gouged the edges too. No core strikes but they needed some love pretty bad.
I had fairly high expectations because Iâve been here numerous times for a variety of things and theyâve always done a good job, but was pretty blown away by the work they did! The bottoms looked brand new when I picked them up, so I was happy already but man when I rode them they rode like brand new skis too!!! I was carving away like a pro and riding like I was on rails, where before I was just sliding around like a goober with dull skis đ
And they didnât grind off a ton of the base either to do it, honestly the edges look just as thick as new. Not like some places that donât care about your skis and just grind a bunch off cause itâs easy. Iâm so stoked right now, you guys are amazing!
Also surprised I didnât already have a review here. Iâve bought snowboard stuff here and always had great help and advice. My gf has bought backcountry stuff and had great help and advice then too. Weâve brought friends from out of town to rent snowboards. Other stuff I canât remember. Never left here feeling like they didnât care, werenât friendly, werenât knowledgeable- theyâre all those things and somehow manage to do it consistently...
Read moreWe have always rented and purchased gear at Shoreline and they always provide great customer service. I just left the store after renting my sons friends snowboard gear for three days and have an experience that is worth explaining. In regards to the rental, it was a nice Burton set up and all pricing in Tahoe is similar so you should pick a shop based on service and the local vibe.
When we arrived to rent the gear, I asked if we received a discount because we stay at the Worldmark resort and they typically advertise a discount. The guy helping us said there is a new owner so we donât but he will try to work something out.
I signed the waivers as the guardian and then the teen renting the gear paid for everything. To make a long story short, he damaged the board and when we returned it, it wasnât clear as to if we paid for the insurance or not.
I had thought we did and the manager / owner I interacted with said âif you believe you did, I trust you and we are in the business of getting repeat customersâ.
I donât typically write reviews but I feel this was a case of exceptional customer service and a business that is doing things in the right way and I needed to tell everyone who donât care where they rent....
I will continue to always use them for my snowboard needs and hope everyone else...
Read moreThe wonderful guys at Shoreline saved my Tahoe trip! I came in for the 2025 AMBBR ride, only to realize while putting my bike together the afternoon before the ride that an issue with my pedal crank had resurfaced at the worst time. I rushed over to Shoreline as a hail mary shot at a lifeline, and the crew here was helpful and transparent about the mechanical issue, and then offered me a replacement rental at an amazing price. Despite being close to closing time on a weekend in which I'm sure they were slammed with so many riders in town, everyone I interacted with at Shoreline went the extra mile with their advice and assistance. They made sure I was fitted perfectly on my Trek rental (pictured), which performed amazingly during the ride. This experience stood out to me as the best I've ever had, even among an industry in which quality is already high. Please give these guys a visit when you're in town, it's an excellent destination for rentals...
