Tahoe by Design — Local services in South Lake Tahoe

Karen was the absolute best! We hired her as our day-of planner for our wedding, and I can't believe how lucky we got! She is so affordable for how much she offers and takes care of. I really didn't want to do much of the planning, and she helped me through every step of the way.

Karen has a TON of decorations that she let us use. It was perfect because decorating and logistics were the main pieces I was really nervous for, and she took care of all of it. I had all the vendors booked and had decided the basics for how we wanted our wedding, but beyond that Karen took care of everything.

She came to the rehearsal dinner and made every feel so relaxed and confident that everything would go smoothly. Nerves were a little high (especially the moms) and Karen came in and completely took charge but without being too overbearing.

On the day of the wedding she showed up early with her awesome assistant and again took care of absolutely everything (organizing caterers, setting up the desserts, putting all the flowers up, setting place settings for 150+ people, etc. etc.). Basically every single little thing we were worried about she took care of. I (bride) was confined to a room all day (duh) and so I couldn't be out taking care of anything. Karen had my vision in mind and she just made it happen. Her and her assistant were so awesome to have there to guide us through the ceremony, they really made everyone in the wedding party feel comfortable and confident.

Also - she has tons of ideas and connections with local vendors - she knows the best of the best. So so so happy she was there for our special day!

Worth every penny for 4 hours exploring the lake! Not only did we have a wonderful time on the grateful red with Bryan, but we learned so much history through our time on the boat and had so much fun. Have to admit the fast ride back was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Bryan showed us the best things and took some amazing family photos for our memories. While the whole experience was top notch, we were most appreciative of Bryan’s ability to make our youngest feel like his first mate.
