I really hate to do this but unfortunately I spent $450 for a stylist in this location to ruin my hair. I found this salon on instagram and really loved the work. I booked online and gave the 30% deposit. When I got to the shop I explained to the stylist that I wanted a balayage with darker roots because I didn’t want to be maintaining my hair as much since I was already blonde. When she was done I paid my balance and went home. When I got home I see that my hair has lines (banding) all over the top and the sides / uneven and unblended colors all over my hair. There was bleeding of the highlights and it looked horrible. I text the stylist pictures and let her know what I needed a correction and that I needed it asap since it was soon to be thanksgiving. She took me the next day to “fix” the problem, she said she was going to blend out my roots with the highlights.when she was done, she blow dried my hair which the manager had an issue with because he told her it shouldn’t have been complementary, although I had paid $450 the day before!! that it should have Only been the front of my hair and that’s it! But he was very nice even though I can tell her was annoyed. again when I got home I can see that it’s better blended but the banding is even more noticeable and don’t get me started on the horrible uneven hair cut! Needless to say, I will not be retuning! Enjoy the mess that is my hair in the picture below. The 1st 6 pictures are before I went back and the last 6 are after she “fixed” my hair. The salon has a no refund policy and the stylist basically has to fix it if you give them notice within 48 hours. I already went back once and that’s what I got! Now I have to spend another $450 and wait 6 weeks to fix this hot mess!

Update: thank you for the response, when I went to the appointment I was assured by the hair stylist that she would be able to do my hair color as I requested it. if not then she should have spoken up and passed me over to another stylist that would be able to do my hair or simply say no sorry I can’t do it, as everyone can tell the highlights are not even! And the blend is just not there. As for product recommendations? That never happened. The stylist said we have great product but didn’t recommend any. Mind you she didn’t even wash my hair with shampoo after coloring it the second time around which made my head extremely sensitive and itchy. Unfortunately I had to put the review in your salon because the stylist doesn’t have her own. The last 6 pictures are after the supposed correction which still has a ton of banding. This is my first time coming to Color Parlor as I trying to find a new nail tech and let me just say I enjoyed every part of it! Georgie was so helpful in making my appointment and explaining to me pricing. I saw all the reviews for nail techs and I went to Mimi! She’s so sweet and very understanding about the process of nails. She did my overlay and gel pedi and both were so nice and lovely, I would recommend her to anyone. Also the salon has a nice chill vibe , I liked it very much. Fun part is it’s 10 minutes from my house! Come enjoy your fun here !!

9/6/24 After many moons and many days, I came back to this salon for new change and Michelle, who just as sweet as pie, sent me to the salon for a text consultation with Vanessa. She sent me to Soraya for me going blonde to a beautiful copper red, with chopping a good amount of dead ends. The process was immaculate and was letting me know the next steps of what she would do , nothing burn or hurt, and I’m very happy that this salon still remembers me after not coming for a while, this salon is more than a salon it’s a place of comfort and I will recommend this salon for anyone who wants a drastic change on their hair. 6/20/25 SORAYA DOES IT AGAIN!!! I have been coming to this salon since late 2022, and it feels like I never left, Im the OG girl since they’ve been at Bird Rd (iykyk) Soraya is amazing and I had such amazing conversations with her ! She recommended products to keep up with my hair and she is a listener and wants to be comfortable in her chair. I did a partial highlight, going from blonde to red copper (last time it was copper red) and I was stimming with joy when I saw how my hair turned out! Everyone at this salon even the clients next to you talk to you and it’s so nice to sit down and have conversations. She is a good choice maker and makes wonderful decisions (she always gives the nicest hugs too) Michelle did an amazing job on hiring Soraya and she deserves every good thing that this universe has to offer her. 💕 I don’t go as often as I’d like , but when I go, it’s such a relief , my mind turns off and I’m on relax time. Everyone here at Colour Parlor has literally seen me grow. 🩷 To Michelle, thank you for hiring such amazing individuals who are comfortable. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt really disappointed after my experience here. I came in for a Brazilian Blowout, which I’ve had several times in the past at a different salon with great results. Usually, I see a noticeable difference in both frizz reduction and curl pattern loosening. Unfortunately, this time around, my results were minimal — maybe a 5% reduction in frizz, and my curl pattern stayed exactly the same.

I followed all the aftercare instructions and only washed my hair 4 times before reaching out to the stylist to express my concerns. I wasn’t trying to complain or get anything for free — I just wanted to have an open conversation to see if there was anything we could do together to improve the outcome.

Instead, I was told that if I wanted more of a straightening effect, I should look into a Japanese straightening treatment — which isn’t even something offered at this salon. That really surprised me, because I wasn’t looking to go somewhere else. I came back because I trusted this stylist with my hair and felt comfortable working with them. What I really wanted was to collaborate on a solution — not to be referred out and left without any follow-up.

In the end, I felt dismissed, and that’s what hurt the most. I was hoping for more care and communication, and I wish the situation had been handled differently. I also paid well over $300 with tip for this service.
