Don't get me wrong I usually love El Palacio de los Jugos but had such a terrible experience here early last Saturday morning that I feel the need to write about it! I came around 9 am when it looked like they had just opened not too long before. There was a couple male staff that looked like they were still preparing some of the food. I waited at the counter to be acknowledged by four of their female employees who idly chatted with each other and even glanced over at me a couple of times but ignored me. Finally, another customer walked up in scrubs and you can tell she was in a hurry. She too tried to grab the staff's attention literally stating that she was going to be late for work but with to no avail. I ended up waiting 20 minutes and at 25 I was going to leave until finally one of their employees walked up to me. I told her to take the nurse that had been waiting with me but she ignored her and said "what do you want?"
I ordered my chicharron and white rice and left. The chicharron was mediocre which was strange since it was fresh from that morning and must have been just made. At least the prices are always good but when I went to pay for my meal the employee forgot to ring up my aloe drink which I had been holding and placed on the counter in front of her. The only way I could get it with my card is if I spent five dollars which I just refused to do after such ridiculous service.
They really need to change the attitude of their staff and do some training! My boyfriend works at the hospital nearby and has told me horror stories of other people going there with the staff. Sad to say since the food is such a...
Read moreMy visit to El Palacio de los Jugos was a delightful dive into Miami’s authentic Cuban cuisine. The moment I walked in, the bustling, no-frills atmosphere struck me as charming and lively, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
The menu was impressively extensive, filled with mouth-watering options. I tried the roasted pork, which was succulent and flavorful, perfectly complemented by well-seasoned plantains. The Cuban sandwich was a standout, packed with rich flavors and just the right amount of crispness. And the fresh tropical juices were a refreshing highlight, bursting with vibrant, natural sweetness.
I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and reasonable prices. It’s clear why both locals and tourists flock here for a satisfying, wallet-friendly meal. The service was efficient—while it’s not the place for a leisurely sit-down experience, the fast pace meant I got my food quickly without much of a wait.
El Palacio de los Jugos delivered consistently rich flavors and an authentic Cuban dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or stocking up on delicious provisions for later, this spot is a must-visit in Miami. I’ll definitely...
Read moreThe one main reason why I'm writing this review is for the way my farther was treated at this location... We've been living in miami for 20+ years and never been treated by an employee with such disgust. My father was given a spoon grabbed with her hands (not by the handle) he asked for another spoon when the lady heard this she gave him attitude for it (apparently she's manager) her husband was there to give him attitude and told him he would beat him for disrespecting his wife. First off is this an environment you want to associate yourself with? Absolutely not. Second if you're the paying costumer you should be treated like one and not be disrespected for any demand. My father is 62 year old for someone to go up to him and say such thing. This is not acceptable way to treat any of your costumer even if the request is as outrageous as it may be (which asking for clean spoon isn't one). This is not rating the food but the costumer service of this place and it's not the first time this happens but this is for sure the last time I wouldn't recommend this as long as these...
