This last week I was seen in the ER for kidney stones. The hospital gave me a paper RX for a controlled substance to have filled. I went over to Walgreens to have this filled, and Melissa the pharmacy tech was So unbelievably rude to me, and unwilling to help me figure this issue out. She explained that there was a new law passed this year that prohibits them from filling any Controlled substance prescription that is on paper. When you are in pain and need your medication, you would think a pharmacy would want to help you in anyway they can. She even told me “ The ball is in your court to figure this out. There’s nothing I can do.” The way she talked down to me made me feel like she was under the impression that I abuse controlled substances Which isn’t the case at all. She said the RX needed to say why it wasn’t sent over electronically. I left and called the hospital and they told me that there’s no reason that they would not accept this prescription, and they “shouldn’t be giving me hell.” They were even aware of the new law that was passed, and said all that needs to be on It is my name, date of birth, and a Signature from the doctor. They’re unable to send it over electronically at this point because then I would have a double prescription in my name for a controlled substance, Which I totally understood from working in a doctors office for a few years. I called the pharmacy and spoke to the head pharmacist, she was nice, but still unwilling to help me resolve the situation. She said, the only resolution would be having This prescription Sent over electronically. I told her that wasn’t an option since I would have a double prescription for controlled substance in my name, when there was a perfectly good one that is able to be filled. Walgreens has nothing listed about this new law on their website, and no other pharmacy is refusing a paper RX for a controlled substance. Bottom line, for whatever reason they just didn’t want to give me this prescription for whatever reason. Me and my family members are switching our prescriptions over to a different pharmacy because of how I was treated by Melissa, and the pharmacist who were all unwilling to help a patient get her medication. I am appalled by the way I was treated especially by a...
Read moreI have been a Walgreens customer for many years and have never been treated like I was by the Pharmacist Timothy. I go to the Pharmacy not by choice but because I have to have medicine for my thyroid I do not have a thyroid therefore it is very important that I take my medicine on a timely manner. I was in there last Wednesday for a pick up my prescription they only had a five day supply and assured me the rest would be mailed to me the next day that would be Thursday my credit card number was taken over the phone to pay for this prescription which I have learned is not the policy with the store. On Tuesday of the next week I still have not received my medication I was out of the five day supply so I called the pharmacy and spoke with Timothy his reply was he asked FedEx to pick it up but they never showed up that was on Thursday He requested the pick up. Instead of calling to let me know the prescription just sat there until Tuesday when I called him told him I was very unhappy I needed the medicine his reply was I will bring it to your door by 9 PM when I get off work. That was not good enough for me I needed the medicine this afternoon as I have to take it regularly. Plus i do not want someone that is so awful to come to my house. so I went to the pharmacy to pick it up again the prescription was not there FedEx had came in the meantime without him calling to let me know and they took it again no medicine FedEx has it who knows where it is I already paid for it 70+ dollars later he charge me for two additional pills 11.99 again I have to take the medication in the morning 6 AM I will not have the prescription by then from FedEx so I have to go Back to the pharmacy and pick up two additional pills to get me bye and hopes that FedEx delivers it by the 1:00. This was the rudest Gentleman that I have ever talked with I will be pulling all my prescriptions from Walgreens I will be telling everybody how I was treated there this is unacceptable you need to treat every client every customer with care Timothy did the exact opposite I did report this case to the corporate...
Read moreThis pharmacy has a woman CONSISTENTLY working the window who is literally the all time rudest, most inconsiderate human we have ever encountered. If you want pharmacists who TRULY care and go out of their way to make you feel taken care of and certain all your questions are answered transfer to Fresh Market South Ogden or CVS. Every single time we drive away from this pharmacy(I have one RX still being called into this location) we feel worse for having crossed her path. She is a bump on a log- and honestly deliberately lazy and piggish. She just shorted me two syringes for the month even though I require 8. My time is valuable. My wife’s time is valuable. I don’t have time to make multiple trips just to appease some woman with a chip on her shoulder. I am FOLLOWING DOCTORS ORDERS- she is an impediment to service and care. Please Walgreens- please do something - not for me but for the other patients who might require simply adequate communication and quality consultation....
