I haven't had my hair cut, styled or colored in years so my husband treated me to a new cut and color. My stylist greeted me at the register checked me in and took me into the back where her station was, I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted and she told me she would be able to do it the only thing she wouldn't be able to do was the coloring I wanted because my hair was too dark "I had originally wanted blond and rose gold" but I understood my hair was too dark, no biggy I'll just choose a different color, I ended up choosing a rose red and she started to cut my hair and I immediately noticed that she wasn't cutting it right so I double checked that she did indeed know what cut I wanted and she confirmed that, that is the cut she was giving me and then asked if I'm sure I wanted it that short? That I had very long beautiful hair and that she would keep some of the length if she were me. I told her yes I am sure I want it that short and she said okay and continued to cute my hair, she literally put my hair into a ponytail and cut it straight across....then proceeded to tell me she couldn't wait to curl it and it's going to look so good and in my head I'm thinking "how in the world does she think she's going to have enough hair to curl? The cut I wanted is much too short to curl." She started putting the red coloring in my hair then asked me to go sit under one of the big hair dryers, I had literally just got the new galaxy S 20 note and didn't want to take it with me and have it over heat under the dryer so I placed it under my small wallet sized purse and went and sat under the dryer I sat under that dryer for what felt like forever and she finally came and got me to rinse my coloring out. After my coloring had been rinsed she sat me back in my chair at her station and I lifted up my purse to look at my phone and IT WAS GONE! thankfully I was waring my smart watch and used it to find my phone I couldn't hear it at all at this point I'm raging mad, uncomfortable and in a panic when my stylist comes back and goes is this your phone? I found it ringing under the sink, it must have fallen out of your pocket when we were rinsing your hair. There's a lot wrong with that story one being I know for a fact I left my phone at her station under my purse I didn't have it on me and second I wasn't paging it at the time she claimed to have heard it wringing and third how would she have known it was my phone? So now not only I'm I uncomfortable, angry and annoyed but she starts drying my hair and curling it she literally gave me an intirely different cut than what I had asked for because she didn't want to take off that much length because she thought my hair was really long and pretty. And my hair didn't even look rose red it looked pink!! I'm furious at this point and just want to get out of there so I go and pay for a cut I didn't want and pink hair not rose red and she suggested that I also buy some shampoo that will keep the coloring from fading so I say okay and she rings it all up...$160 dollars later I'm sitting in the parking lot very upset and almost in tears. I literally went to supper cuts right across the street and got the hair cut I had originally wanted and paid $15.00 and a ten dollar tip. The coloring I had got from panache didn't even last a month even though I had purchased shampoo to keep it from fading, I will literally never step another foot in that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in to Penache Hair because I wanted a perm and booked an appointment with Lindsay. I showed her pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like and she stated yes she could do that, but once my perm was done it didnāt seem right, she stated I need it to let my hair air dry and not wash it for at least 2 days so it could get curly, however 3 days later and my hair was FLAT, no curls what so ever. It literally looked better when I would braid my hair to make it curly myself. I called the salon and spoke to Debbie (owner of the salon) she asked me to go in the following Friday which was when Lindsay would be in so I did. Lindsay washed my hair and said it looked like I had brushed it, which I never did and I told her that. She then had Debbie come help me because she had another client. Debbie said she needed to āeducateā me on how to style my hair and also stated my hair was too long to hold tight curls. I explained how Lindsay never warned me about my hair not holding the curls and that if she would of mentioned that at the beginning before touching my hair then I would not be complaining at all and that would of been my responsibility. They refused to give me a refund for the $115 I paid or even the $10 tip. This place is HORRIBLE! They have such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never go in there again. The fact that not even the owner of the salon could help me out or offer any type of solution speaks for itself. I actually went in to another salon to get my hair fixed and paid half of the price I had inially paid to Lindsay and got what I wanted and asked for in the first place. Such a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a very unfortunate experience at Panache. I initially called to book an appointment for a full head of blonde after cutting out my henna-dyed hair. Despite clearly stating my request on the phone, my booking was noted as a balayage instead.
Upon arrival, I reiterated my request for a full blonde look and asked for all henna-dyed hair to be removed. The stylist only trimmed my hair to neck length, leaving some of the henna untouched because she "didn't want to cut it any shorter". When it came to bleaching, I was persuaded to opt for a 'weave' technique. I was led to believe this would still achieve a near full blonde effect. However, I left the salon with only sparse highlights over my natural color, far from the blonde transformation I envisioned. The stylist ignored my requests and assured me I'd be happy with the results, which I was not. While I maintained composure and politeness throughout the ordeal, I left feeling disappointed and misled.
After leaving, I realized the stylist opted for the quicker weave method because she didn't have enough time to do a full bleach, which would have been more time-consuming. It seems the decision was driven by a desire to not miss out on the tip rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. This lack of transparency and disregard for my explicit requests was disheartening.
Communication and respect for client choices are crucial in beauty services, and both were lacking in my visit to Panache. I advise future customers to confirm all service details beforehand to avoid similar...
