January 1, 2025 I had the worst experience I have ever had in my life, an unusual situation.
Today as many times after making the selection of my items together with a friend we went to the checkout to pay, I had passed my items and at the same moment I was passing my credit card credit card, my friend was waiting with his items in his hand, at that moment a young woman told us that she wanted to check my bill and I followed her to another checkout after the line where she was and ordered my friend to go too (with his items still without paying in hand), took my invoice and I followed her strangely at the time when my friend told her 3 times that he had not paid for 3 items. My invoice was made 16.11 (green label the item 5.66.) and was paid with the credit card ending in 5345 at 11.30am January 1st. The store took the invoice from me so I haven't to upload here.
We were surprised that in an inspection box an African American supervisor with violent gestures and gestures practically told us that we were stealing, she passed all my items and everything was very good and when she saw that I had no reason for some doubt that I was unaware of, she insinuated that a box that it was at 5.66 had altered the price and that it was at 16, which was stupid because to be like that the price would have had to be at 32 dollars since today everything was half price, to make the situation worse. thing they took my friend's things who told him at all times that he had not paid yet and passed them off as if we had wanted to take it, in my limited English I told him several times that I did not understand the attitude, that I was not going to pay 16 dollars for a battered painting and that I take it because I was going to leave at 2.33 when the 50% off was applied, she insulted us by telling us that we had tried to take things from the place and that we wanted to leave the store without paying for them, I reminded her that she took us out of the register at the moment we were paying and that it made no sense, the Afro-American lady told me, raising her voice in an altered manner, that we should leave the store and never back again and if happen she would call us the police, did not allow us to speak at any time, I told them to look for the cameras that were on time, to check if I saw any real suspicious situation and they continued with the same thing, they took away items that they charged us for as some kind of retaliation and it was a quite humiliating moment , the aggressiveness that that lady showed limited me to looking for someone who spoke Spanish to use so as not to lose anything in the language that would serve to clarify the situation.
I do not write to harm the store, I do not write in retaliation, I only do it for a legal issue that I understand, I felt humiliated and discriminated against, I write in case someone else in the future or in the past has been unfairly mistreated by this lady and although the young woman behaved more decently than any supervisor can see situations that are happening in this store. If I manage to feel different, I will try to go and see if I see any authority that wants to ensure that the quality of the service is maintained. This lady is forced to deal with people who come from GHETO or I don't know what else.
I am talking to my family's lawyer about whether I have to make some type of legal claim because with the threats that this woman made to me, she could have exposed me to some risk of defenselessness. Today we are perfectly in time to review the cameras in the place and see the nightmare that that woman put me through. I hope to never return to this place and I don't wish any client to go through whatever happens. At no time did that lady show us evidence that questioned my honesty, but rather they handled the situation so that everything looked like it had some type of reasonable doubt.
Humility is not cowardice and that lady is confused about that. I put the amount, time of the event and credit card details so that they can track everything and see the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGiving this one a two although I love this store and I can always find something in it whether I need it or not, I did have an issue when paying. First off I had four items that I needed to pay for and the worker that was standing by the paying area was standing so close to me that she was in my personal space that I had to tell her to back up a little bit. besides the fact that she really didn't know any English, there was not a price sticker on an item that I wanted, so i informed the employee and she tells me that I was unable to buy it at all. which I couldn't understand, it's not my fault that there was no sticker price on the item. Why should a customer who's trying to spend money in your store not be able to buy something that you're selling because you guys didnt put a sticker? And with all the different color price tags that reduce the price of certain items and on Monday where they take a certain percentage off, I couldn't see why they made such a big deal about an item with no price tag on it and if I wanted to be a scumbag I could have took a sticker off something else and put it on there and been on my Merry way but I tried to do the right thing and let them know there was no sticker on there and they unfortunately told me I wasn't able to purchase at all. after letting them know that they're losing a lot of money by handling the situation like that I asked to speak to someone a little higher in authority than the woman that was breathing down my neck at the register, the gentleman there informed me by just shaking his head no telling me I couldn't buy it not giving me a reason why. I think that's a joke and like I said they should have a policy or something where if there's no sticker on it it should be set at a certain price God only knows how much money they're losing by doing that but can't complain I guess it's a thrift store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this place! It's just a really fun place to shop. If you love thrift stores, you will have a lot of fun! The other day, I bought 6 summer tops and a pillow for $21! The Color coded extra discounts are great! Check the color coded discount signs hanging from the ceiling as soon as you arrive and then check the color of the price tags of the items you want... and then enjoy the discounts! Note: The colors for the discounts change once a week. There are tons of clothes for women, men, kids and babies. There are also handbags, quilts, pillows etc. etc. There are shoes at the the top of the clothing racks (check the signs for sizes). I have found cute shoes there, but a lot of them can be a bit too worn. Most of the clothes, on the other hand, are in great condition! Great prices, too! Make sure to check out the big area with all the non-clothing items! You might find ANYTHING back there! Books, DVDs, Christmas ornaments, electronics, knick knacks, stuffed animals, toys, small furniture etc etc! When you're back there, make sure to look up as you're walking through the isles. There are tons of little items in little clear packs hanging above the shelved items. There is so much to see on the shelves, these little packets can be easy to miss! Go up and down ALL the isles! You just never know what you might find! PS: I've shopped here for years and never had a problem with the sales people. They work hard. They are always bringing out new items. They've always been nice to me, but some people act like they expect to be greeted with champagne as if they're shopping at Bergdorf'sš... but it's a thrift store. Just chill out...
