Review for Ms. Nettie – An Amazing Piano Teacher!
Ms. Nettie has been teaching my child piano for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My child has been learning piano for a little over four years, and since starting lessons with Ms. Nettie, her love for music has only grown stronger. She is incredibly kind, polite, and encouraging, always creating a positive and supportive learning environment. She is also very accommodating, making lessons enjoyable and stress-free. My child absolutely loves her, and they have developed a wonderful student-teacher relationship. For any parent looking for a piano teacher—whether your child is a complete beginner or has some experience—I highly recommend trying Ms. Nettie’s classes. She truly brings out the best in her students!
Feedback from last year:- We switched to Octopus after two long years of learning Piano at a different place and I'm glad we did! My daughter is excited about her class every week and I'd give the credit to her teacher, she makes her feel comfortable and is always welcoming. I like the fact that we can take the feedback after each class and work on the areas that needs improvement. I'd recommend Octopus if you'd like to give your child a good environment to...
Read moreMy daughter went to OMS for 2 years and her instructor was instrumental in sparking and nurturing her interest in music. We had to leave because she grew too advanced for him and they did not have a specialist instructor who could continue to coach her.
The unfavorable review is primarily because the policies are nonsensical (such as you forfeit your security deposit if you want to unenroll and did not give notice before the 15th of the prior month) and staff will not work with you to try and accommodate any special requests. You are made to sign a long agreement full of legalese at the beginning, and there is no deviation allowed from that agreement. Worse, every time you approach customer service with a question, they wave that agreement in your face. Please make sure you understand fully what you are signing up for (in other words read that agreement).
Suggestion to management - don't treat every interaction with a customer as a potential lawsuit. It is ok to just answer the question - help if you can, say so if you can't. It get's tiresome (very quickly) to be quoted "The Agreement" every time. The focus of interaction with the school should be the music, not some...
Read moreMy daughter learns Guitar at OMS, she s been going there for last 4 years and we are very happy the way how she has progressed from zero as we come with no background on music/guitar, Mr.Mort is a wonderful instructor and made the learning very easy and fun for my daughter. His way of teaching is unique, never dictate and never force them or rush them..which enable the child to reach the goal with confident.
Another best thing with Mort we like is, he created the band Nylon Tentacle and helping the kids to improve their team skills, and coordination skills and making them to get band experience in the early stage of the learning itself. He takes them to perform in multiple occasions like farmers market and big events like Guitar Fest at Kean University.. which was a big and wonderful experience for my daughter and the kids in the band.
OMS is best on their part of arranging 2 or more showcase performances for the kids to showcase their talents, and presenting skills..Mr Mort does his best in the performance as well by making the kids to showcase without seeing the notes and have them perform by their heart.. isn’t it amazing?
Overall we like OMS and Mr Mort.. and highly...
