DAHR — Local services in Southern Pines

This beautiful store is a gem of a discovery nestled in the charming downtown area of Southern Pines. My husband and I stopped in with one of our children this week to purchase 2 chairs for our living room area, and I was reminded why I had such trouble making a final decision—EVERY chair (sofas, sideboards, end tables, dining tables, home decor—so much to choose from) in the store is a high quality work of art designed to last and get better with age. The owner, Sanna, was kind, friendly, and definitely has an excellent eye. I would trust her style advice in any room I was either revamping or designing new…there is an upscale and eclectic yet still comfortable feeling to Dahr, and that is hard to achieve in a furniture and decor market that frequently feels saturated with fast factory merchandise. We drove in from about an hour away and it was well worth the time. Dahr does deliver, and carries furniture by local NC artisans that I couldn’t find anywhere in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill. Everytime I come into this boutique the customer service is top-notch. I have been on the hunt for years now for the perfect couch. A while back I found that couch at DAHR, but as a commitment scardy cat I thought well maybe I'll find something better 2 years later and I have NOT found anything better going to countless other store including big box stores. I went in yesterday, March 27, showed them a photo of the one I took at their store and they jumped into action to find me my perfect couch. They truly are AMAZING!!

BUT they also have other things besides big pieces such as the cutest clothes, the best smelling candles, cute home decor, and so much more that you will NOT be disappointed in when going here. Hands down on of the best shops in Downtown...

I have been so impressed with Sanna's design service- she really listens to the needs and wants of her clients to create the perfect design. She is easy to contact and converse with, very responsive and transparent on the status of orders. She is open and flexible, creating unique, beautiful and functional spaces. She is an absolute perfectionist and really just the most wonderful person to work with. You cannot go wrong shopping or using DAHR services! I wish there were more...
