I would advise going to Cary, Raleigh, or durham for a hair stylist. Go to the Drybsr in Cary for blowouts. They will last for 7-10 days and look good the whole time. Here within a day, they don’t. I got extensions put in here.. I was told many things and then when they were done and I realized I had been told things that weren’t what happened and then basically told I misremembered. My roots looked terrible. They were yellow and brassy. Instead of telling me this would happen and offering other options Kylie went ahead with it. I paid thousands to leave and have to wear a hat everyday she told me to message her to get on the books to fix it right away. One would think fixing it would mean correcting the work at no charge. I wasn’t just not liking it it was done poorly I came in today to have it fixed. After they wanted to charge me almost $500 dollars to highlight the top of my head, tone, and trim my hair. I was then told when I asked them to contact law enforcement that it was hearsay that she said she wanted me to come in to fix it. Had I known this would happen I wouldn’t have gone back. They arrived and were on my side. I even knew one of them. I agreed to pay 50% and did. I will be going to small claims court. This is greed. You would think you’d want to do the right thing. Feeling ok lying is sad. And telling me I don’t remember things. Wanting to bring up other issues that had nothing to do with this. The continuing education got in this area is far less than that of the places I mentioned above. Places that also want to make things right. If you’ve never been here, I would 100%...

When I tell you that Michelle is a miracle worker I do not use this phrase lightly. Her skill level is unbelievable and her attention to detail is unmatched. I saw the most beautiful head of hair on a woman and I told her I had to know who did her hair and she raved and raved about Michelle and her work. She told me that once I sat in her chair I would never go anywhere else. She was 100% right. As someone who was traumatized by a previous experience in a salon and very reluctant to ever sit in a salon chair again, Michelle made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. We had a consultation where she answered all of my questions and told me what to expect with my upcoming service. I went in today for my service and she completely exceeded my expectations. The color she used on my hair is exquisite, the experience was very relaxing and her salon is beautiful! She completely transformed my hair and I feel like I gained a new confidence thanks to Michelle and her salon staff. The blending is perfection, she knew the exact color that would look the best with my features, and the entire time she made sure I was comfortable. I would recommend Michelle to absolutely anyone because I whole heartedly believe you will love your results. I hadn’t even left her salon a full hour and had received multiple compliments on my hair. Truly, I cannot thank you enough...

Was able to get a haircut at The Mod Shop today(Friday, June 3, 2022) with Nikki. Having experience with curly hair cuts and styling, she washed, cut and styled my curly hair to PERFECTION in under 30 minutes, keeping the length while adding suitable layers for volume. She knew her stuff and even though it was my first time there, I knew I could trust her as she was knowledgable, experienced, thoughtful and kind. She asked me what I did to my hair usually, what I’ve tried and provided me with suggestions based on what she knew and what I’d said.

I called the shop just a day or so prior and was able to get an appointment easily too. The person answering the phone and managing bookings was equally as kind, charismatic and helpful as Nikki and sent me reminders of my appointment.

And although the real gems of The Mod Shop are the talent and sweet souls that work there, at the end of my appointment, I was able to look around at all of the other lovely goodies in the front while checking out.
