I went specifically for the pharmacy to pick up a prescription from my nurse who we both chose this pharmacy because I do not have insurance currently and it was cheapest close by. So! I go inside to the pharmacy I get service from I assume a pharmacy tech named Deborah. I gave her my date of birth and my name. She gave me the spill about not having insurance ( which yes I just moved here and working on getting my health insurance I already know there is more payments to pay without coverage) however I informed her my nurse and myself chose this pharmacy for the $9 amount. Her attitude was far from polite and I believe maybe it’s because maybe she gets a lot of people who may give her a hard time because they don’t have insurance what have you upset bc it’s an amount…who knows. I was far from giving her a hard time by any means or being any way. Treating me a way just because I don’t have insurance or assuming I’m being a way is not okay to me. Instead all she could of said was yeah you just need the coupon and you’ll be all good to go. You should not treat people like that. I went back to my apartment grabbed my coupon for the prescription which I didn’t mind I did forget it which I only did pay $9. No biggie I didn’t have any issues with any of this at all. I drove back I don’t live far… I received better service from another pharmacy tech with blonde short hair. I asked her for her co workers name and I informed the tech thank you for your service I appreciate that. All she needed was my coupon that’s perfectly fine but it’s how you are treated that counts. I most likely will not be coming back just because of that Deborah lady and how she treated me. I really wanted to say something back but I walked away. I used to be a pharmacy tech years before I joined the service and no matter how I was treated I always was polite and respectful. I won’t be back. I hope this gets to Deborah and it’s not just a hah whatever but maybe a change in the way you may treat others or you’re clearly not in the correct line of business. It will eventually catch up to you. My first and last time going to...
Read moreEvery time I go into the store and buy groceries I have to double check to see if I have all my items. The last time I bought some birthday cards for my sister and brother-in-law and they didn't make it home. As a doctoral student writing a dissertation for a Doctor of Computer Science, I have better things to do than double check Kroger check-out. I hope I don't have to shop there very often anymore. Update It has come to my attention that Kroger Supermarket is not totally culpable for the circumstances described in the previous post. As it is the goal to perform at an optimum level, assurances have been commissioned to affect a more favorable outcome in our future. If apologies are required, consider it that apologies are made. Perhaps we might all take this opportunity to examine our processes in order that we may avoid such circumstances again. I look forward to many more excellent shopping experiences at Kroger. Read moreThe store is subpar. Like most Krogers.
The pharmacy on the other hand has some serious dysfunction going on and there is a serious lack of management within it. There have been three separate times with this pharmacy that my provider has sent a prescription and they have let it sit, claiming they never received the authorization, but my doctors have confirmation of such. Additionally, even if they never received authorization, whether or not patients receive their medications in an appropriate timeline is certainly not within their concerns. The apathy I have received from the individuals at this location is astounding. If they didn't receive authorization, they should have reached out to my provider or to me if they could not reach my provider. All three times, they simply let my prescriptions remain in limbo with absolutely no effort to communicate with me or my providers. All of my medications are time sensitive, and one of their times of passing the buck resulted in more than a week long withdrawal of my much needed SSRI.
The third time just happened this week. Prescription sent April 29. May 8, no prescription 'In Progress.' Yeah, right. So, I have my provider resend the prescription to a different Kroger. Guess what? Filled in four hours, no fuss. Do not get your prescriptions here, for the love of all that is...
