Too often, we only hear about negative experiences that people have with businesses. Southlake Jewelers not only met my expectations......they exceeded my expectations. I took my wedding ring into their store a couple of months ago to get a prong replaced, prongs retipped and an appraisal. They had my ring ready for me to pick up in only a couple of days. However, last week I noticed that one of the prongs needed re tipped/repaired again. UGH!!!! I took my ring back to Southlake Jewelers, explained that I had just had this repair made a couple of months earlier. The jeweler immediately told me, no problem, they guarantee their repairs and are more than happy to repair my ring for no expense. WHAT??? I didn't have to go through a big drill on questions of what I did with my ring? That it could somehow be my fault? Or that I would have to pay out of pocket again? WOW!!!! They didn't ask any questions and immediately offered to make my ring perfect again!!!! The next day, I realized that I still needed to send my appraisal to my insurance company to have it scheduled on my policy and I had put it "somewhere safe", so safe, that I couldn't remember where I put it. UGH!!!! So, I called them and explained that I couldn't locate my appraisal, that I would be picking up my ring in a couple of days from the repair and was wondering how much it would cost to have a duplicate appraisal printed up since I couldn't locate my original. They told me that they would be more than happy to reprint the appraisal at no cost. WHAT??? No cost???? Every other place that I have ever done business wants to charge you for every little thing that comes up. I went to Southlake Jewelers to pick up my ring today. It looks amazing!!! They had my appraisal reprinted and ready for me. They took care of my repair and the reprinting of my appraisal completely free of charge. I am 100% happy with the outstanding customer service that I received and Southlake Jewelers will be the ONLY jewelry company that I will ever do business with again. It is so refreshing to find a business that has their honesty, integrity and that stands behind their service and repairs...

High prices and rude service. I wanted a watch battery replaced and the young man, tall with a beard, told me it would be $35. I thought that was high but he said because it was an expensive watch, it was more careful treatment. The watch was only worth about $200-250, but I said ok. It took him all of 5 minutes to replace the battery and bring the watch out to me with new scratches, plus completely covered in greasy fingerprints. Then I asked him if they could give me just a general idea of the quality of the rubies on my bracelet, not a price, and he told me flat out no. He said I'd need to purchase a full estimate. I've never been to a jewelry store where the person behind the counter wasn't even willing to pull out a loop and take 30 seconds to look at a few stones. Some of the other staff here did seem nicer. We researched the area to find the best repair jeweler in the area. I was really worried that they would damage my very rare Safire ring, however after looking at the reviews I decided to take my vintage ring it repaired and i fell in love with this store! Everyone is so knowledgeable, and educated in gems. After having the ring repaired it ended up being too big at times, they gave me a solution for free and told me to wait because in the summer i may find it is too small. In addition to being the best place to have your jewelry repaired they have the most amazing unique jewelry, so much so i have a wish list they maintain.
