If I could give zero stars I would
Had a terrible experience today at the Malbis Shopping Center location. I have a newly potty trained little boy who just turned 3 last month, and he needed to use the restroom while we were in the store. Normally I would try to get him to wait, but the nearest restroom is across the shopping center and we all know a newly trained 3 year old can’t wait that long. I politely asked if he could possibly use their restroom and was met with the most inappropriate, over the top, rude response from an older lady (gray hair) working the counter. She loudly verbally accosted me (in front of other customers and the other employees), and my little boy actually was too scared to use the restroom after another employee took us back there. I feel so SORRY for the other employees who have to work with such an unhappy person. At her age, she should understand that a toddler sometimes HAS to go. I went back in the store and let her know my thoughts on the situation. I was planning on spending $200-300 on a wedding gift for a friend. I’ll take my business elsewhere and encourage others to...
Read moreBeen plenty of times, this time we went in for some bigger items, was looking at a down sleeping bag that was around $360 and a pair of hiking shoes that was around $150 had both in hands, had a 4 year old with us who had to use the restroom I asked the gentleman at the front if he could use their restroom that we could see just as easy as day and he told me no, that customers were allowed to use their restroom I said “sir this is a 4 year old child, is there no way he can use it?” He a said nope not at all, I tried asking a couple of times since he was about to go in his pants the employees refused so we dropped everything we were looking at purchasing and left, I m sorry but if you can’t make an exception for a toddler to use your restroom, then I cant make an exception to do business with you. But it’s okay we will go to REI Birmingham just to go somewhere else. As well as all of the other gear we were...
Read moreGirlfriend and I stopped in. She needed a good quality pair of shoes. We looked at the On Cloud shoes, and she kept exclaiming how much she liked a particular shoe.
Meanwhile, two kids, who were clearly employed there, just stood there and chatted with one another. We even hinted at needing help.
Could we have asked for help? Certainly. Should we have had to? No.
As we continued to walk around, there were a couple other kids that were also employed here. They too just talked amongst themselves, never once asking anyone if they needed to help.
After visiting a couple other places, we went to Fleet Feet in Mobile. The lady there instantly asked what my girlfriend was looking for, and we left with shoes that day.
Moral of the story, unless you know what you're looking for at Mountain High, I...
